this is a big newspaper, and it's speaking out against the government, comparing the current state of bureaucracy to fascism, it's quite a step up from an independent website making these claims.
he is right though in his conclusion, a new magna carta is needed, i hope the idea of a "person" dies.

a need for re-writing magna carta isn't needed at all... this is just one way to rid 'freeman' laws from the land. All this story is, it's part of the agenda as to now supporting the next puppet (cameron). TPTB are certainly panicking if ideas of re-writing has to play a part for future plans.

We need to stop this assault on civil liberies going further, we need to roll back the attritions they have already suffered, and we need a rock solid written consitution to protect us from those who aim to make us all suspects in the gaze of the unblinking universal eye.
maybe not a new one, but rock solid doesnt sound like most of the laws we have nowadays. sounds something very much to the point.

Typical of today's Corporate Nazi Britain, although the Gaurdian don't really have a leg to stand on, White apparently supports Spy in the Sky road charging.

Those creeps on the Guardian have been pushing the Socialist/Egalitarian/PC agenda for donkeys years and now they don't like the fruits of their [New]labour. They've romanticised endlessly about socialist ideals and now that the country appears to have it's own version of the Stasi, they direct their usual, self-righteous, indignation at the Guardian reading, civil servants that have helped engineer this frigging state of affairs. The Guardian has always been a leftie newspaper.
Still supports Labour and this article is simply cotton wool.
Controlled opposition in a very woolly way.
Any real news never trust any UK newspaper all of them are crooked.
