Got any? I'd love to see' em.
In these symbolism threads here: http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2368 http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2241&postcount=17
We see examples of the pentagram shape used on war machines and prisons by the architects of destruction and imprisonment.
In the photos below is an example of the pentagram shape as displayed by mother nature. I know which artist's work I prefer to see displayed in the world.

The pentagram is a pattern from the dodecahedron, one of the five platonic solids.
The Platonic solids were known to the ancient Greeks, and were described by Plato in his Timaeus ca. 350 BC. In this work, Plato equated the tetrahedron with the "element" fire, the cube with earth, the icosahedron with water, the octahedron with air, and the dodecahedron with the stuff of which the constellations and heavens were made (Cromwell 1997). Predating Plato, the neolithic people of Scotland developed the five solids a thousand years earlier. The stone models are kept in the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford (Atiyah and Sutcliffe 2003). http://mathworld.wolfram.com/PlatonicSolid.html

Some people use these shapes to create their own patterns: http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2505
For me the link between symbols, the matrix and consciousness is profound. I thought people might like to post any photos they have of patterns in nature.

248-dimension maths puzzle solved
Part of the E8 matrix. Image: David Vogan / MIT
The structure is described in the form of a vast matrix
An international team of mathematicians has detailed a vast complex numerical "structure" which was described more than a century ago.
Mapping the 248-dimensional structure, called E8, took four years of work and produced more data than the Human Genome Project, researchers said.
E8 is a "Lie group", a means of describing symmetrical objects.
The team said their findings may assist fields of physics which use more than four dimensions, such as string theory.
Lie groups were invented by the 19th Century Norwegian mathematician Sophus Lie (pronounced "Lee").
It's as complicated as symmetry can get
David Vogan
Familar structures such as balls and cones have symmetry in three dimensions, and there are Lie groups to describe them. E8 is much bigger.
"What's attractive about studying E8 is that it's as complicated as symmetry can get", observed David Vogan from the Massachussetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the US.
"Mathematics can almost always offer another example that's harder than the one you're looking at now, but for Lie groups, E8 is the hardest one."
Professor Vogan is presenting the results at MIT in a lecture entitled The Character Table for E8, or How We Wrote Down a 453,060 x 453,060 Matrix and Found Happiness.
Fundamental force
Conceptualising, designing and running the calculations took a team of 19 mathematicians four years. The final computation took more than three days' solid processing time on a Sage supercomputer.
Sophus Lie. Image: Science Photo Library
Lie groups were invented by the Norwegian Sophus Lie
What came out was a matrix of linked numbers, which together describe the structure of E8. It contains more than 60 times as much data as the human genome sequence.
Each of the 205,263,363,600 entries on the matrix is far more complicated than a straightforward number; some are complex equations.
The team calculated that if all the numbers were written out in small type, they would cover an area the size of Manhattan.
In addition to facilitating further understanding of symmetry and related areas of mathematics, the team hopes its work will contribute to areas of physics, such as string theory, which involve structures possessing more than the conventional four dimensions of space and time.
"While mathematicians have known for a long time about the beauty and the uniqueness of E8, we physicists have come to appreciate its exceptional role only more recently," commented Hermann Nicolai, director of the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (the Albert Einstein Institute) in Germany.
"Yet, in our attempts to unify gravity with the other fundamental forces into a consistent theory of quantum gravity, we now encounter it at almost every corner."

Is this the fabric of the universe?

Roger Highfield describes a heroic mathematical enterprise that could lay bare the fundamentals of the cosmos
Mathematicians have successfully scaled their equivalent of Mount Everest. Today they unveil the answer to a problem that, if written out in tiny print, would cover an area the size of Manhattan.
E8
A two dimensional representation of E8, courtesy of Peter McMullen and John Stembridge
At the most basic level, the calculation is an arcane investigation of symmetry – in this case of an object that is 57 dimensional, rather than the usual three dimensional ones that we are familiar with. Although this object was first discovered in the 19th century. there is evidence that it could contain the structure of the cosmos.
Mathematicians are known for their solitary style of working, but the combined assault on what is described as "one of the largest and most complicated structures in mathematics" required the effort of 18 mathematicians from America and Europe for an intensive four-year collaboration.
The feat may baffle most people but could have unforeseen implications in mathematics and physics, which won’t be evident for years to come, said the American Institute of Mathematics.
"The group of symmetries of this strange geometry called E8 is one of the most intriguing structures that Nature has left for the mathematician to play with," commented Prof Marcus du Sautoy of Oxford University, currently in Auckland. "Most of the time mathematical objects fit into nice patterns that we can order and classify. But this one just sits there like a huge Everest."
advertisement
What makes this group of symmetries so exciting is that Nature also seems to have embedded it at the heart of many bits of physics. One interpretation of why we have such a quirky list of fundamental particles is because they all result from different facets of the strange symmetries of E8. I find it rather extraordinary that of all the symmetries that mathematicians have discovered, it is this exotic exceptional object that Nature has used to build the fabric of the universe. The symmetries are so intricate and complex that today’s announcement of the complete mapping of E8 is a significant moment in our exploration of symmetry."
For the feat, the team used a mix of theoretical mathematics and intricate computer programming to successfully map E8, (pronounced "E eight") which is an example of a Lie (pronounced "Lee") group. Lie groups were invented by the 19th century Norwegian mathematician Sophus Lie to study symmetry.
Underlying any symmetrical object, such as a sphere, is a Lie group. Balls, cylinders or cones are familiar examples of symmetric three-dimensional objects. Today’s feat rests on the drive by mathematicians to study symmetries in higher dimensions. E8 is the symmetries of a geometric object that is 57-dimensional. E8 itself is 248-dimensional.
"E8 was discovered over a century ago, in 1887, and until now, no one thought the structure could ever be understood," said Prof Jeffrey Adams, Project Leader, at the University of Maryland. "This groundbreaking achievement is significant both as an advance in basic knowledge, as well as a major advance in the use of large scale computing to solve complicated mathematical problems."
"This is an exciting breakthrough," said Prof Peter Sarnak at Princeton University. "Understanding and classifying the representations of E8 and Lie groups has been critical to understanding phenomena in many different areas of mathematics and science including algebra, geometry, number theory, physics and chemistry. This project will be invaluable for future mathematicians and scientists."
The ways that E8 manifests itself as a symmetry group are called representations. The goal is to describe all the possible representations of E8. These representations are extremely complicated, but mathematicians describe them in terms of basic building blocks. The new result is a complete list of these building blocks for the representations of E8, and a precise description of the relations between them, all encoded in a matrix, or grid, with 453,060 rows and columns. There are 205,263,363,600 entries in all, each a mathematical expression called a polynomial. If each entry was written in a one inch square, then the entire matrix would measure more than seven miles on each side.
The result of the E8 calculation, which contains all the information about E8 and its representations, is 60 gigabytes in size. This is enough to store 45 days of continuous music in MP3-format. If written out on paper, the answer would cover an area the size of Manhattan. The computation required sophisticated new mathematical techniques and computing power not available even a few years ago.
"This is an impressive achievement," said Hermann Nicolai, Director of the Albert Einstein Institute in Potsdam, Germany. "While mathematicians have known for a long time about the beauty and the uniqueness of E8, we physicists have come to appreciate its exceptional role only more recently - yet, in our attempts to unify gravity with the other fundamental forces into a consistent theory of quantum gravity, we now encounter it at almost every corner," he said, referring to efforts to combine the theory of the very big (general relativity) with the very small (quantum mechanics). "Thus, understanding the inner workings of E8 is not only a great advance for pure mathematics, but may also help physicists in their quest for a unified theory."

Coxeter lectured about ``the beauteous properties of triangles," about circles and spheres, and about the Platonic solids: the tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, icosahedron, and dodecahedron. According to a recent cosmological hypothesis (and a similar theory put forth by Plato) the dodecahedron is a potential model for the shape of the universe-bound by 12 walls, each the shape of a pentagon.

Thanks a lot tru3 and biggus dickus.
So e8? A symmetrical shape that exists across 248 dimensions... the implications of which aren't known to scientists yet? I wonder if there are references to something similar in shamanic/indigineous cultures? Does e8 describe an unseen energy that we can tap into or are a part of?
Mathematical evidence of how much of reality we don't see from our limited perspective?
Could e8, as it exists over 248 dimensions, have something to do with Hoaglands Hyperdimensional Physics model? I imagine e8 isn't static but spins and could thus be the force/gateway he mentions here:
These planetary examples have long been elegant confirmations of our Hyperdimensional Physics Model for the entire solar system: that rotating mass, by virtue of the nature of space and “multi-dimensional reality,” is able to “open a gate” into another, more energetic dimension … allowing that energy to cascade -- in a highly organized and geometric form – “down” into our dimension.
http://www.enterprisemission.com/hurricane1.htm
The arcane subject of "Hyperdimensional Physics."
Unknown to most current physicists and students of science (if not the general media and public), the beginnings of modern physics launched over 100 years ago by the so-called "giants" -- Helmholtz, Lord Kelvin, Faraday, Maxwell and many others -- laid a full and rich tradition in this currently little-known field: the open, heatedly debated scientific and philosophical premise that three-dimensional reality is only a subset of a series of higher, hyperspatial, additional dimensions, which control not only the physics of our very existence, from stars to galaxies to life itself ... but potentially, through time-variable changes in its foundations--
Dramatic coming changes in our lives.
This bold theoretical and experimental era, at the very dawn of science as we know it, came to an abrupt end at the close of the 19th Century. That was when our currently accepted (and very different) view of "physics" -- everything from the "Big Bang" Expanding Universe Cosmology, to Relativistic limitations imposed by "flat" space and non-simultaneous time, complicated by a non-intuitive "Quantum Mechanics" of suddenly uncertain atomic "realities" -- all took a very different turn ... from where they had been headed. Imagine our surprise, when -- as part of our Enterprise Mission effort to verify the existence of intelligently-created ruins at "Cydonia" -- we suddenly realized we might have stumbled across the geometry of this same 19th Century, pre-Relativity "hyperdimensional physics"--

In the Heaven of Indra, there is said to be a network of pearls, so arranged that if you look at one you see all the others reflected in it. In the same way each object in the world is not merely itself but involves every other object and in fact IS everything else. "In every particle of dust, there are present Buddhas without number.' The similarity of this image with the hadron bootstrap is indeed striking. The metaphor of Indra's net may justly be called the first bootstrap model, created by the Eastern sages some 2,500 years before the beginning of particle physics."

The soul weaves Indra's net.
Following the anatman doctrines of Buddhism, the Virtuals insist that any fixed notion of self, even the Universal Self, is an illusion. At the same time, the ngHolos emphasize that the self and the world are constantly produced, that the cosmos is both network and void. The allusion here to the Hindu myth of Indra's web, which the ngHolo's fused with the image of the universe as pictured in the Avatamsaka Sutra: an infinitely nested and interrelated monadology in which each singularity reflects and embodies a boundless totality.
The Virtuals did not deny the conventional self, but rather filled it with space and emptiness. They call this "weaving the net." Like a net, the conventional self or ego is something we toss into the infinite potential of reality in order to "catch" our karmic desires, but it too is composed of emptiness. If the net is too thick and tightly-wound, it will retain everything, for there is no void to escape into, and everything will become very heavy and egocentric. If the net is too loose and weakly bound, it will not function--larger catches will break its threads, and the smaller will escape. We never stop weaving the net or trawling the world of potential. Newly woven patterns catch new fish. Of course, the net of the self relates to the larger Jewel-Net. For the ngHolos, the fractalmandalas of the looms were the keys to maintaining the conventional self while weaving them into this larger pattern of multiplicity.

One way of thinking about it is to compare it to one of those mirrored disco balls, which sends out thousands of reflections off of everybody and everything in the room. The mirrored disco ball is the transcendental object at the end of time, and those reflected twinkling, refractive lights are religions, scientific theories, gurus, works of art, poetry, great orgasms, great souffles, great paintings, etc. Anything that has, in Nietszche's phrase, the "spark of divinity within it," is in fact, referent to the original force of the spark of all divinity unfolding itself within the confines of three-dimensional space. - Terence McKenna - _Timewave Zero And Language_

This illustration shows:
· How the standard "Ring" form of the 3,10 torus knot can be transformed to fit on the surface of a dimpled-sphere torus.
· How the 3,10 torus knot is defined by a "touch-pad magic square" whose diagonals, central row, and column add to 15).
· How the dimpled sphere form of the 3,10 torus knot defines 6 hand-shaped regions wound around a (6-thumb) tetrahelical central column.
· How the central column of the dimpled-sphere form of the 3,10 torus knot is composed of and defined by a column of 99-tetrahedra.
· How each hand is defined by a central colunn (wound on the thumb and extended over the palm and 4-fingers) of a "jubilee" of 49-tetrahedra; and
· How the 99-tetrahedra tetrahedral column consists of 3-ribbons of 3x22=66 triangular faces, with one triangular face for each of the 3 sets of 22-letters of a string of 3-Hebrew alphabets.

Above, you can see the same figure on the front of 'The Secret in the Bible', by Tony Bushby. I've lent my copy out at the moment, so I haven't got a clear picture from inside the book, but it is the same figure I found at the Meru Foundation website. Both say that it creates the Hebrew alphabet. Bushby also says that is is from a representation of the DNA strand.

In 'The Secret in the Bible', by Tony Bushby, the 22 glyphs of the Hebrew alphabet are shown to be representations of the DNA strand.
"The only Holy Book
For thousnads of years, spiritual teachers of Jewish traditions claimed that the five major Hebrew texts making up the Torah were 'holy', of special significance, and of supernatural origin...and they were right. By producing an exact copy of the spiral shape of the Rainbow Serpent from plastic, brass, a strip of metal or a similar solid substance, its significance becomes apparent, and that item could be best described as 'light descended into matter'. It is the primary element of both the Book of Thoth and the Secret in the Bible and the precise twisty shape of the Rainbow Serpent provides the necessary form to physically demonstrate a major part of the Secret. When the plastic or metal reproduction of the Rainbow Serpent is slowly revolved, 22 different shaped shadows are cast from that one element, and those shapes directly make up the 22 seperate letters of the alphabet that the Torah was written in. Put in simplest terms, the alphabetin which the Torah of the Bible was originally and secretly written was one composed of a series of 22 cosmic glyphs that emanated with 'splendour and power in the form of a serpent' from a vertical spiral of light in the Benben on top of the Great Pyramid in Egypt. Evidence of that knowledge points directly at the undeniable input of a higher intelligence, a superior mind source."
-The Secret in the Bible, by Tony Bushby, page 256.
The "twisty shape of the Rainbow Serpent" is a similar description that is used 'The Cosmic Serpent', "language-twisting-twisting" and "twisted language", to describe the DNA by shamans.

ARE YOU A TIME LORD?
lol well its a good question, but two things,
1 the better the quality of the question, the better the quality of the answer.
2 its highly off topic.
why not start a thread, I suggest you make it in the rant room to avoid it being moved there.
