How are we going to resist the chip? I mean some peoples lives can get so bad they will kill themselves in an attempt to aleviate themselves from the stuggle. So when they market this chip in some future date and create the intranet which we can all be connect to where we can be anywhere at anytime work and play at the same time change appearance and personality at will, I see it as being a vastly evolved internet.

So how would people resist this when it seems people will do anything for this. The only way I can imagine is if people have a direct experience of the reality of reality and so they can then make that freewill choice not to have it but strive for what is real. Otherwise people will be left with the choice of either their misery struggle and pain or this new technology, instant gratification in a virtual world.

I guess we'll have to see how it's introduced.

So far there appears to have been a slow drip-feed of (dis)information suggesting that it will only be right to get our children chipped because the world is full of nasty people out to get them.

And unfortunately, it appears that a lot of people are falling for it!

I would think it will initially be a voluntary thing, if it ever became mandatory I would do everything in my power to refuse to have one, and I certainly hope that large numbers would do the same.

Mass-refusal would be pretty difficult to overcome wouldn't it?
