The only way to change things is by not voting
I think not voting is given more power to these people that do vote.
I lot of people had to fight for the right to vote shame so may people give it away so easily.
We should make our voices and votes count.

G'day Deca.
I voted once almost nineteen years ago for a state election and have never voted since.
Both sides are controlled by the same powers that be and I find it pointless to participate in energy struggle that is politics.
For me to vote would be an agreement that those in power have some say over who I am and what I choose to do. No chance of that ever being or happening.

I voted once many years ago for Labour, to get rid of Thatchers Conservatives. It was kind of funny, me and my girl went to the polling station and were the only ones there haha.
Alot of peopl where glad to see labour get in to power, but as we all know know there is no real difference betwen the political partys, they promise allsorts of changes, but within a few years of being in office they basically do a U turn and carry out the policies of the party who was in power before them.
Afterall they're all in the same masonic club and go to dinner and have drinky poos after the parlimentary debate is over, so it's like david I would say..Opposite sames, they appear to be two different partys opposing one another but that's just a cover for the fact they all work together for a common cause, which is power over the masses by the ruling elite of facist dicators which is what they really are.

Labour - Conservative - Liberal Democrats:
Same face different mask!
I am 36 years old and only voted a couple of times, But if people don`t vote then it will be easier for them to push through there agenda. If people vote want
it put a spanner in their works and make it harder to push through their plans after all think every party will have to give in to grass routes of there party now and then.I am sick of con and lab as the only parties to vote for as they can only get into power.I was alright before the electronic harassment started under
labor being a working man with a family.I know now that they have screwed this
country up the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting screwed.
I think probably who ever gets into power they will screw things up for most people but by how much.

How does putting a cross on a piece of paper to choose our government's public relations officer make our voices count?
I'll never vote again. It gives credibility to a system that has none. I know a lot of you voted for parties like the Lib Dems who appear to have principles. They do now, when they've not got a snowball's chance in hell of getting into "power", but if they did they'd soon change their tone.
Remember how a vote for Labour used to be a vote for a better world for the working class? They promised to make life better, end povery, bring in the NHS, do away with slave labour. Now they're in "power" they're doing the exactly opposite.

(Sung in a sickly tone) "Oh, Democracy... Democracy!"
People start weeping when you mention democracy! "My grandpa died for democracy!" etc.
Think of all the effort that people have put into achieving democracy throughout history: The Chartists, the Suffragettes, Solidarity, the ANC. And for what!? All those people who died in wars supposedly fighting for freedom  What a scam!
Sorry if I sound like a cynical conspiracy theorist... but I am so it tends to come out that way!
I am ashamed to say that i voted Labour in the last general election:( !?!?
I deserve ridicule, but in my defence i was a naive 18 year old plugged in like the rest of the sheeple. I will never vote again as i now know that my vote counts for nothing. I cant stand it when people say we live in a democracy, i try to explain that at the very best we live in a government elect democracy (still a sham) whereby we can 'choose'(my arse) who is in power by voting, then they do what the hell they want while in power anyway plus regardless of the party elected the outcome will be the same as they all follow the same agenda.

Yep! If you don't vote (or get your name crossed off) you will get a please explain and if you don't have a good reason, such as lying unconscious somwhere, you will be fined. Even being overseas is no excuse. There are postal votes and absentee votes. Oh yeah, they have all bases covered.
But then the bit of paper is anonymous and no-one actually sees what you write on it. What a farce.

Hi,
Voting and democracy is a complete sham people are conned in to thinking their vote really makes a difference this couldn’t be further from the truth “The Powers That Be” hold the rains of power no matter who gets in.
Even people who don’t realise what’s really going on have stopped voting because they are so disillusioned with the whole process.....no matter whose in power we still get the same old crap.
“The Powers That Be” are starting to get worried because less and less people are voting these days....there has been talk in the UK of making it compulsory to vote.
I noticed during the American election they were using celebrities to try and get more people to vote by pushing the slogan “Vote or Die”.......ha that made me laugh.....the opposite of this is true......vote for these wankers and you probably will end up dead.
If all the people stopped voting the system would have to be changed this is what “The Powers That Be” are scared off........if you vote you are keeping the system going by giving them the power to rule over you........we need to wise up!..... stop voting and take their power away.

I agree. Boycotting the elections is a good way to make people aware of what a scam demoncracy is. In places like South Africa and the former communist world, they still believe in it because it's a new experience for them. To them it's still a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. In my own country, the UK, we've enjoyed (or suffered) democracy, in progressive degrees, for several centuries. So the novelty has worn off a bit.
But people have put so much effort into it, dedicating and even sacrificing their lives: the Chartist Movement, the Suffragettes, those killed in wars. I'm sorry to say this, but those people gave their lives for a scam. They were taken in by the ultimate confidence trick.

That’s a good idea there bicycle.......I wouldn't vote if they made it compulsory....in fact if they started prosecuting people for not voting it could back fire on "The Powers That Be" because people would start doing the sort of things you mentioned and hopefully more and more people would wise up to the scam.

Why bother with all that? Sure bullhorn it if you want, hand out information if you want but why not just go and get your name checked off while there. Why attract negativity and hassles by refusing to 'vote'. Once you have been checked off, no one knows if you have put in a blank slip or written on it why you are not voting for any of the candidates.
You are then not fighting for a cause. You are peacing for it. Believe me, if you just refuse to go through the motions, you will have a fight on your hands.

As for bicycle's comparison between putting a slip of paper in a ballot box and being called up for the army, it is hardly comparable. I am not going to get killed or kill anyone else for pretending to play the game thus saving myself an unnecessary fine.
If I were not a female, way past call up age, :p of course I would resist. For that I would go to gaol. I would most definately conscientiously object :D

the only time i ever went into a poling booth was to rip up my card and ram it into the top of the box (nicely with humour)
most people here seem to accept that it is a one party state and that the only difference between the canditates is that one puts on jame and the other peanut butter on the the same piece of shite, like nearly everything these days people only look at the wraping and no longer the contence
but that canot continue indefinatly , it is not physicaly possible.............!

Its sad that the people in power have manipulated the political party's and made
a mockery of the idea of democracy. When you think how much people had to fight to get the right to vote witch is still denied to a lot of people its a crying shame. I think any system will eventually end up getting corrupted or manipulated. Think the uk is full of doggy inquiry's,cover ups and spin also think
we are conditioned to expect that and turn off thinking it want effect our lifes.

I definitely do NOT vote anymore, either, haven't for several years and never will again! THAT is what I call giving my power away, and being duped into thinking I have a voice and a say in things.
If anyone is qualified to run for office, they have been put through many initiations and have had to 'prove' themselves loyal to the NWO agenda. This makes them UNqualified to represent the people.
It is all a bunch of propaganda that "so and so" is "different" and will "change things". They are all the same; just different window dressing to try and fool us.
If anyone who truly has a conscience and truly wants to serve the people gets into office... well, just look at what happened to JFK when he wanted to tell the world about UFOs and also close down secret socieites.

How do petitions, lobbyings or demonstrations change any of this? Just as with voting, they LOVE it when we waste our time and energies on that, and it has absolutely no effect on the outcome of things.
