Hello all, first time posting on here so hello again!
Right i've dipped in and out of David Icke books over the last 15 years and found some of the work amazing and some 'different' to say the least.I bought the F to F DVDs and have been totally amazed and my eyes are starting to open to what i always thought was a distorted image of the true world (Goverment).
One thing i am curious about is the refrence to the date 2012,i have seen the date repeated many time in the papers of late,such as goverment plans to complete by 2012...work to close by 2012.bit hard to explain accuratley with out proper examples but seems more than a coincidence.
David Icke refers to the date in the DVD but why is it so important and what,if anything,may happen?

i got to warn you, this video looks like it's perfect to scare people and get them worried. (i don't think this was the purpose of the video though)
the theories presented in this video, are some of the many theories out there.
maybe nothing at all will happen at 2012, so be careful you do not fall in the trap of BELIEF my friend!

2012 according to the mayans who have the most accurate calendar system, it started with the birth of venus in 3113 bc and will end with 21st december 2012 .This is the end of the 4th or 5th sun depending on wich system you follow .The next day heralds the beginning of the new sun the new world day 1 .It is not an end of the world more that as many more people become aware of this shift in conciousness certain factions have treid to create much th e same fear and paranoia around it as the 1999ad end of the world scenario and the 1000 ad did before them . There are too many possible outcomes to name just do some research yourslef but dont give into fear as we will still be after that date .It will be many different things to many different people .Make it a positive shift for you personaly and it will be good intend it . I read once that it was the end of a 26,000 year cycle and that all the planets in our solar system line up at that time , i used to view it then as the universal chakras aligning and that the more spiritualy emotionaly and mentaly balance we were and the more ou rown chakras were balanced the easier the transition would be for us .It wil lbe the start of a new way of thinking and being even if not straight away globaly but it is already shifting and accelerating .:D look forward to any insights u have on the subject they are all relevant and just as viable if not more so if you are new to it all .

I'd suggest reading "Maya Cosmogenesis 2012" by John Major Jenkins. It gives a very good idea of the actual physical galactic alignment occuring around 2012 and how the maya calculated and predicted it using other alignments.
it was quite fascinating.
and i'd also look up anything you can find on precession of the equinoxes.

Have to say i'm a bit of a open minded sceptic,if that makes any sense and i've already survived around 3 or 4 end of the world saga's to date,so that wasn't the way i was thinking.
I've not got long enought tonight to really get into things but will be in contact a lot in future and i am really excited about sharing my thoughts and gaining the knowledge that is out there.
Briefly,i've known of D Ikce's work and have always been drawn to the so called conspiracies for about 20 years and never really had the chance to really share my views as the usually reaction was 'ha,ha he's mad that bloke' or UFOs your still smoking that wacky backy mate (no for the last 12 months at least any way) but looking forward to sharing with you all.

Terence McKennas fascintating Timewave Zero theory predicted an end date of 2012, and that was before he had even heard of the Mayan Calender. I think McKenna's explanation of what this means is worth looking at. Heres a snippet from this site -

It's a very vast subject, with many theories....a lot of the theories rely on channeled information and ancient historical findings.

i found out about gregg braden from icke's newsletter. here's an interview with him:

a lot of what i've read indicates that the term "pole" refers to the magnetic field of the planet, not the physical position of the earth in its orbit. there would most likely be some gradual re-adjustment over time with the rotational axis, but the magnetic shift should be nearly instantaneous.
it would be like a giant electromagnetic pulse device going off, probably affecting organic life as well (we are, after all, big bags of water with electricity running through them :) ).
that's what i'm betting on, anyway. :o

I always thought of 2012 as the refresh on the consciousness program. Everything goes back to zero and it loops itself back again. Not really great if you want to stay awake and unplug probably.
2012 is probably when NWO plans to finalise global takeover
2010 is another masonic milestone, another monolith like 2001 was
just like those black monoliths in space oddity 2001 and 2010 were.
they symbolized major building blocks, or cornerstones

It irritates me no end people bring up these dates,the most enthusiastic dates are the ones that have already gone,making them fit.
Ive said before,make a prediction before any suppposedly magical date...................theres been a lot about 07/07/07....but im absolutely confident nothing will happen on that day.............it will be an ordinary day.
but then you will get the folk that say its the start of something,but theyll move the goalposts.
