Is Al Gore a Magician?

I remember reading in Children of the Matrix that Al Gore is supposed to be a high level mage. Is there any evidence of this?

There was a quiz show in TV the other night and one of the true or false questions was 'can Al Gore hypnotise a chicken'. The answer turned out to be true so he must be able to do something. Maybe he bored it into submission
