i have been developing my psychic abillities for about 3 or four years now on an irregular basis due to the lack of good teachers out there. please do not get insulted if you are a teacher, i am not refering to you because i have not met you yet lol, the teachers that i have met have only assisted in my development because of their own gains and that does not interest me. i have been ripped off repeatedly though not always on the same scale. i have found that whenever i have been presented with a tutor it seems to be for a great amount of money with not much for the price.i have even been to the college at stanstead twice as once didnt seem to do the trick ( put me off being the trick). i would be interested to hear peoples views on mediumship and the development of psychic abillities and whether people actually believe in the psychics and the supernatural evidence they put forward.also if anyone has attended the college at stanstead i would be gratefull to hear what the people would have to say regarding the tutorship at the college and also the accessability of help and answering of questions at the school.
the reason i have for asking this is that i have been trying to use my sbilities in other areas to see the range of what these abilities are. has anyone out there used psychic ability to help in unusual situations or for something that would not normally be used for?
what is the general feeling on the subject of psychic evidence or does that really come down to the integrity of the person in question? if so how would people make a descision on the evidence without knowing the person personally. my own guess at this would have to be in the content of the evidence they are presenting. also for me one of the problems with entering into the realm of producing evidence in an area that is alien to the person immediatly creates an association with that area.
for instance if a medium were to present evidence from a paranormal source in a murder trial does that person then become part of the investigation, due to the information he or she presented? even if the person came from the other side of the planet

some do say that i should use it for my typing but its just took me an hour to type this lol.and you would not believe the amount of backtracking i have had to do ha ha ha:D

if the person had done what they say they had and aquired this knowledge by the means that have been taught to them, would it then be only natural to find out the motivation for the person becoming involved.
if that person then had not done what they say they had im sure that the motivation for that would be unearthed rather quickly.
also the techniques of how that information was aquired would also be called into question.
if that person had passed all the required fields into which that evidence would be placed should that eveidence then be regarded as truthfull in the way it was passed to the relevant authorities or is there still an area for concern as to whether the information at source is correct or misleading.

for instance
if a medium tried to present supernatural evidence in a case that was high profile in todays society . what conditions would have to be met in order for this to happen?

personally i believe that if the person puts themselves forward with the evidence and agrees to whatever conditions is placed before them to prove how that information was aquired then that persons evidence dserves to be heard.
what do you think????

Hello there osirirs 111,

I have worked as a spiritual medium, there are some good mediums and teachers out there, but a lot of the time I found that egos interfering was the greatest bugbear. Lots of mediums are interested in self aggrandisement rather than spreading spiritual truths.

I haven't been to Stanstead, but I have done workshops with mediums from there, and to be honest I feel that they only take you so far in your spiritual journey. At the end of the day that journey has to be your own, you can't find anybody to lead you on it other than yourself and your guides.

Certainly you can find people along the way who might give you a different perspective or a bit of a lightbulb moment, but ultimately the responsibility for spiritual growth and development lies with yourself.

I have given information on a murder investigation before, the information came psychically out of the blue, the police took it very seriously and were very respectful, and it helped them to investigate certain areas and make discoveries.

I doubt whether a psychic would be called to give evidence - the police take the psychics inormation and then find the physical evidence from that, it has to be proven in a court of law, and psychic evidence alone without the supporting physical evidence could just be classed as heresay I would have thought. (unless I've misinterpreted you there)

My only motivation for getting involved was to help the family of the victim, nothing more, nothing less. If people do this for apparent fame or notoriety, then it is the wrong reason, and not somebody who's evidence I'd be 100% comfortable with as 'self' needs to be put to one side.

Hi, you have my thinking too and I came up with this, to the solution.

I met a medium that interested me and I feel is a bit too commercial and for me, that is not what I want from it either. Celebrity status does this. Even if there are reasons behind it.

I never liked religions I decided. I was brought up in Christianity and I found it regular brainwashing and stopped. It was at the same time, every Sunday and they would preach from this great book no one can remember if the characters are fiction or not and tell you that it is true. This would tell you how to live your life. Yet, I've met 'Christians' and seen reports of other religions (press reports admittedly) that are far from helping others and being considerate/thoughtful. The book is about creating fear. If you do x this will happen, if you don't do x, this will happen.

There are various versions too. Ie in one version you'll have Jesus. Then there's also Joseph, then Mohammed. So someone must be wrong as Dire Straits said. So I got fed up with this and I decided my religion would simply be, "You do what you can for people, when you can as long as it doesn't affect you physically or mentally". It works - I won't ruin myself for someone else.

As the medium I met said, "Keep 10% of yourself back". Everything happens for a reason I think, even if it is just to learn from a mistake made. She also said that everyone has it in them to know what is right and wrong. I think that too.

I don't think mediumship is celebrity/fame/money first and help second. That can be how it feels. However, if you are getting specific attention, then that may be different as then you are paying for that. Commercial shows in part annoy me, what are you there for?

You get to see others being read and pay £15-20 a time for the privilege. So I got fed up with it and stuck to my vow of three shows. If not seen anything in three shows, I would try elsewhere.

Then I had an idea. I remembered reading in her book that when she started, she went to a spiritual church. She also mentioned that this helped her and it wasn't all dictating from a book, but about being nice to people for a change. So I were thinking about it a lot, but undecisive.

Then I happened to go to an Opera thingy in a restaurant (I'm 35 - it does happen) to give my friend support and was drawn to a lady in the interval and got chatting. She told me she went to the very church I'd been thinking of trying, had experienced a NDE and invited me to go - I've been every week so far since. Peter one of the organisers and I have often had little chats after about the way the world is going, but I enjoy it mostly for the community, socialising and seeing what others gain by it. Plus I'm wondering whether to study this for myself, part because this world is rapidly going in stupid directions and I have a desire to do something. Just not sure what and hard to focus myself at times.

It's also been good because I've had a few readings which have not been asking me, they've been telling me. Plus it is helping me get to know people interested in similar things and see for myself first hand. Also I like that apart from a raffle and the donation all churches have, it is otherwise free, so that gives me more credibility than those in commercial halls.

My goal is partly to find a medium I can kind of 'interview' for myself in order to gain an understanding. Plus at the same time, I want to help others if I can from what I've taught myself. There are areas of my life, just don't get - I've had this annoying niggly feeling since being small and I'm still trying to find what that is.

Hope that helps.

P.S. I think that the reason Spiritualism is ridiculed, in that, "is not scientifically proven or for entertainment purposes only!" is because those in power would want to cut us off from anything that allows us to question what we're told to think. If we are confined to ourselves for fear of expression, coupled with censorship and propaganda - we are unable to see outside what we are told we should see.

Like that 20-40% wages tax is so beneficial. Not so beneficial when you find yourself unemployed (friend) and cannot claim anything at all - has no money. He was trapped using his deposit for a further month. Now if he gets a job they expect it in lieu. It is only resourcefulness he is surviving so far and the occasional help from his mother/friends. It shows me how disasterous this human chip could actually be.

What would the government/police solution be? To arrest you.

Russell T Davis of Doctor Who fame actually amused me with the Master storyline. You had it where the Master was Prime Minister of Great Britain denouncing a New World Order and Martha Jones going round the world to tell people to chant and have faith in, "The Doctor". The bit I liked was, only when the Doctor was winning, did The Master's wife start chanting, "Doctor" along too. That is how this world behaves.

It depends on the evidence. Locating a body is one thing, saying you mentally saw who did it is another. It may speed things up, but evidence has to be backed up with something physical before you can take to trial. Otherwise we risk entering areas of corruption.
