Illicit settler food sold in UK stores:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/jul/06/israelandthepalestinians.supermarkets

Every time you buy these herbs from the supermarkets your contributing towards the Israeli war machine which is forcing Palestinians from the land they've farmed for generations.

If you can't be bothered to grow this stuff in a window box or patio tub, ffs stop eating them.

If you do keep buying herbs from supermarkets please remember that your helping sentence generations of kids to a life of scavenging food from rubbish tips.

Alternatively you can look at the labels of the food you are buying and just buy food that comes from local sources.

If you look at the label and it says "country of origin: UK" there's a good chance that your purchases aren't helping to sentence Palestinian kids to anything...

Thats right.

Just don't buy the products mentioned in the articles which have Israel or The West Bank as the place of origin. That will mostly be cut herbs in packets.

ALDI (http://www.aldi.co.uk/) sources loads of fresh local produce, including locally grown herbage.

Still better to grow your own though :)

I hate not knowing the truth of things and what is happening. There are so many sides to a story. But what is the truth? I got to do so much reading and understanding from so many sides...I forget what I am looking at.

Things are so twisted up. I seen a video on tv one morning about Palestinian's working in contruction for Isreali homes and at night went up the mountians to sleep in rubbish shelters. Then the Israli Cops raided and burned their shelters at night. Really screwed up, and took some Palestinians into custody.

It was weird.

and messed up.
