There are numerous allegations of involuntary imprisonment yet little investigation nowadays. What we can see is frightening-looking sleep-deprived people warding off anyone who gets too close....... and allegations of abuse.

.......and 'consent' forms for its members which allow them to imprison people.

So what is the Church of Scientology nowadays?

Scientology infiltrating the UK

In the UK, we now have two cases of people facing prosecution for calling it a 'cult'.

Both had the word 'cult' on a banner and were given a court summons by the police - one in Glasgow and one in London. Now, for the life of me, I can't see how an individual policeman could get it into his head to object to the word 'cult' on a sign. Yet it happened. The move, we suppose, was pushed from higher up in the police.

We then learn that high-up police officers have praised the Church of Scientology for 'adding to the cultural and religious life of the nation'. And that the police have accepted money from the Scientologists.......
http://techyum.com/2008/05/uk_teen_faces_prosecution_for.html

The joke is that, although there's no necessity to register a religion in the UK (that I know of) churches can get tax exempt by registering as a charity. And the Church of Scientology has been refused. The Charity Commission in Britain has refused to register the Church of Scientiology, which has faced repeated claims that new members are manipulated and enticed into spending thousands of pounds on Scientology courses. What's even more bizarre in the light of the threat to procecute the use of the word 'cult', is that the Law Lords, the highest court in the land, themselves called it a 'cult'.

The revelations came after the Daily Mail revealed that Scientologists infiltrated the City of London police handing thousands of pounds worth of gifts to officers. The group - which is worth £200million worldwide - handed out free invitations to film premieres and a £500a-head charity dinner where the guest of honour was Tom Cruise.

So the evidence is that the Scientologists are simply pushing themselves into the UK as a means of getting themselves accepted but it's hard to know if that's the whole story. Their crutch at the moment, is to push their 'Narconon' drug re-habilitation centres: and drug encounter groups provide the perfect platform for influencing minds.

A Tory spokesman said: "Many organisations rent space at our conference to exhibit. Like Labour we reserve the right to exclude an organisation. In this case we allowed Narconon to rent a stand to exhibit their work on drug rehabilitation. "The programme, which uses Mr Hubbard's teachings to help wean addicts from drugs, is funded by £15,000 payments from participants for a six month course!

As the recent banning of the Tom Cruise video showed, they have a lot of power. But are they government controlled, or an isolated but rich group of nutters and money sharks?

Scientology elsewhere

Then there's

Remote Viewing and the CIA

''Remote viewing'' is about getting people into a state where they can imagine or possibly actually view things at a distance in their mind's eye. To induce an out of body experience without the trauma. Now most of the experiments I've ever heard of, involve sensory depravation or placing people in strong electric fields: and the results were limited to people seing something on the ceiling.
Two Scientologists, Hal Puthoff and Ingo Swann, researched remote viewing at Stanford Research Institute for the CIA in the 1970s

And there is this:

Friday, 8 July 1977 ... The Federal Bureau of Investigation, using chain-saws and axes, mounts three simultaneous early-morning raids of Scientology Guardian Office facilities on opposite coasts: the Cedars complex and Fifield Manor in California, and the Washington, D.C. (FCDC) office 06:00 hours Pacific time. At the time of these raids, the Guardian Office is managing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) suits against the Directors of CIA and the FBI, plus the CIA itself, the National Security Agency (NSA), the Department of Defense, Army Intelligence, Naval Intelligence, the Treasury Department (including IRS), INTERPOL, and the Attorney General of the United States. [NOTE: The senior Guardian Office (GO) personnel will be sent to jail as a result of the raid, with the GO soon being disestablished altogether. Control over the other Scientology FOIA actions is severely compromised, and all are ultimately lost on grounds of "national security." Soon after, Meade Emory begins restructuring Scientology to have the ownership and control of the materials put under three non-Scientologist tax and probate attorneys.

which seems to link the CIA to the Scientologists and imples the US govenment involved in shutting down procecutions.

One source communicated in 1974, that physicists were involved in secret research involving the paranormal. This involved "Richard Kennett" now known to be Dr. Christopher Kit Green, who in 1973 was working under the CIA Life Sciences Division (aptly known by the three-letter designation LSD).

There are more things about this organisation that are a mystery: it appears to face setbacks which might indicate it's not itself government controlled. Yet is certainly is on the move Here are some more topics that deserve investigation. It would be interesting if anyone can find out any more.

Linking Scientology to Ambassador Mel Sembler to George H.W. Bush to the adolescent drug treatment 'Straight Program' which received federal funds under Bush and which has now collapsed under allegations of child abuse
Here is the similar progamme called 'Safe', both have Jeb Bush on the board.
Anti-Drug Programme front for mind control and child abuse
Mother blackmailed into allowing imprisonment of innocent child. Parents lose children to anti-drug prison. Parents described as 'cockroaches'.

Mel Sembler's 'Straight' programme was founded in Pinellas County Florida six months after the Church of Scientology™ moved its Naval Headquarters land base there. Two major cults involved in addiction treatment founded at the same place and at the same time. There are many other similarities between Straight and Scientology. For example critics have accused both of using confessions to control members and of sometimes restricting the diets of some members to large helpings of leguminous plants.
One publicised case was that of Samantha Monroe, who claimed she endured beatings, rape, forced hunger and was locked in a janitor's closet in pants containing her excrement. She claims her mother was told her daughter was a liar.

Mel Sembler has recently shifted his financial and political support to the 2008 Republican presidential candidate John McCain.

Hard to deny really, considering the obvious cult mind control methods.
