Not sure if it's been covered but I find it interesting how bees may have a link to the mysterious date of 2012.

This article describes how bee populations are dying in massive amounts both in US and UK.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/6400179.stm

After reading about the bee problem and what Albert Einstein said, it's a weird coincidence :p

Albert Einstein quote: "If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe then man would only have four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man."

this whole story has been on my mind almost constantly the last week.

could this be p-r-s, like global warming? possibly. a bee tax in our future? maybe. gm modified drone clones on the horizon? wouldn't be surprised.

on the other hand, i contemplated the prospect of the human race finally screwing the pooch. i felt deeply into what it would really be like to know that i wouldn't be here in a few years, and that nothing i did would really matter.

i wondered if gaia might not be so fed up with us that she may have just gone "all in" at the great poker table of life.

"hey, it's nature's way of saying, 'can you hear me now?'"- bill maher

i found that instead of reacting in despair or futility, i began to appreciate each step, each fully experienced moment, instead of worrying about the future. it's been an uplifting experience, for me.

It's no wonder cell phones cause cancer and bees don't like the cell phones. The tomb on the Earth's gravestone will read, "Can you hear me now? Good."

Rudolf Steiner

http://www.skylarkbooks.co.uk/Shop/media/Bees.htm

Anthroposophy is a path of knowledge, to guide the spiritual in the human being to the spiritual in the universe…. Anthroposophists are those who experience, as an essential need of life, certain questions on the nature of the human being and the universe, just as one experiences hunger and thirst.

The most famous nature philosopher was Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749–1832). Although best known as a poet and dramatist, his scientific achievements were considerable and he had a profound influence on nineteenth-century biologists. Thomas Huxley's article "Nature: Aphorisms by Goethe" appeared in Nature's first issue in 1869. And yet in Goethe we see the apotheosis of nature philosophy as a romantic reaction to what we would see as scientific detachment, seeking to place man, once again, at the centre of all things, and to promote the subjective and the aesthetic in scientific observation.

Goethe's wide range of interests led to his being labelled as an amateur by contemporaries who had a narrowly scientific focus. In Goethe's own words, his critics "forgot that science arose from poetry, and did not see that when times change the two can meet again on a higher level as friends". Although nature philosophy is long dead, such sentiments still find ready acceptance among alternative or 'holistic' philosophies. Anthroposophy — the world view of twentieth-century philosopher Rudolf Steiner — draws heavily on Goethe, and a germ of nature philosophy survives, if buried, in every anti-scientific, anti-establishment eco-warrior. Why has nature philosophy reinforced the idea of progressive evolution, given that it stems from a profoundly idealistic, pre-evolutionary view of life?

I dont know much about bees

What i thought they looked like was a lot rounder and "fluffier" than that picture

we call 'em Bumble Bees

Is it true that if they sting you they die,or is it an old "wifes tale"

It has always interested my curoisity as to whether bees are aware of this

That they have more to lose by stinging you
To me there seems to be something very "karmic" about bees

But maybe thats me being "anthropomorphic"

We have a robin at work that comes into our bait room, everyday,
usually just just eats the crumbs that we throw on the floor for him/her

Today he landed on my buddys leg

Everyone was shouting ,do the lottery, do the lottery

Were a noisy bunch of .........

This beautiful little creature just waited until my bud put a crumb up to its beak ,he took the bread from his fingers and flew off

Absolutley Amazing

It was kind of weird what happened today going to see my therapist. I was sitting right there in the car when I went to check the time on my cell phone. A bee was lying right on my leg, right by the pocket where my cell was at. I picked it up and let it go outside. This proves to me that cell phones really are fucking up the bees navigational systems beyond a shadow of a doubt.

i had read a long time ago in some science magazine that bees were sensitive to all kinds of electromagnetic energy, because of the way they process information.

Barbara Shipman, mathematician and daughter of a bee researcher, first noticed something peculiar about the dance bees use to describe where pollen sources are located to other bees. Observed over 40 years by Karl von Firsh, these movements seemed an overly complex way to convey information, especially in insect behavior. No one had yet made sense of the dance the bee scouts performed on returning to a hive, but one thing was clear. All of the dance was based on a triangulation of the hive, the food source, and the sun.

http://www.synchronizm.com/blog/index.php/category/regarding-involution-on-the-solar-level/

this article also ties in the disappearances of bees with sunspots. we experienced one of the largest recorded solar flares ever in december 2006. and they are supposed to be intensifying right on up until 2010.

so, to me, cell phones are like the straw that broke the camel's back. the cumulative effect of the sunspots with the 2.5 ghz frequency was just enough stress to push the bees "over the edge", so to speak.

interesting read, anyway.

Coincidentally (?) there is an animated movie in the works about bees. Jerry Seinfeld and lots of other stars in it.

thanks, mc

huh. i guess we're the bees, eh? silly ill.

what the rose doesn't seem to get is that if weren't for the bees, the rose wouldn't exist.

no pollination.

this is hubris masquerading as spirituality, imv.

the power of the pyramid is at the base.

Quote:
This image of the Rosa Mundi, or Rota Mundi, is the solar wheel of Apollo, the Lord of movement, of the ever passing/present moment. It is the Solar Citadel, the abode of the Heart, the symbolic center of the Supreme Center which is everywhere centered at once. It is a door through which this invisible place may be accessed by one with a pure heart and an unblemished soul. If one gains access to the center of the rose, it speaks the "lost word" of Masonic lore, the Master Word which throws open the lodge doors of every sacred society.

it's all one. as above, so below. as within, so without. we've all got that, inside us. so, they can keep their doors sealed up, as far as i'm concerned. so what if the secret is or isn't an illuminati hoax? my intention is to tend the garden of the Heart. the rose in each of us is far more rare and precious than all the esoteric literature ever written.

once more, with feeling, Nature is saying, "can you hear me now? goood."

I can assure you that I'm a very amiable chap indeed.. In fact, I'm just off to bottle feed some lambs I decided to save rather than put down.

You can never say that for certain, maybe the bee needed to make an urgent call to the hive and your mobile was closest.
How can you say what you said beyond a doubt that bees navigation is being messed up...............glad you let the fella go though..........i cant use fly killer any more........feel too guilty,im turning into right soft f**k.

i hear ya(no pun intended).:p

theres not a day that goes by that i dont see at least one person gabbing away on their cellphone while theyre walking on the treadmill at the gym. i think part of the reason is becasue we're so over stimulated by our environment that we get bored so easily.

and yeah, most of the conversations i evesdr....uh...er....happen to hear while walking by......are so trivial: "hey, what are you doing later?...oh, what are you doing now? ah, what about now? and now? and now? who are you? who am i? where am i? why am i holding this shoe up to my head?":D
