10.15 pm
I was sitting in the garden, when I spotted very bright object travelling
west-east.
The object was few times brighter and bigger than any star or planet in the sky.
Cant say anything about altitude, I would say it was as high as regular
liners fly. The light was yellowish and constant - no green, red lights, no
strobo lights, as u expect from an airplane.
I saw it from the "front" and from the "back" side - the light intensity was equal.
Obviouselly there was no sound of engine.

I've been watching it for three four minutes - from the moment I spotted it
exactly above my head till it dissappeared near horizon line..

I wont tell U what I was thinking just a minute before I spotted it.
U would say I made this story...
But it's a fact - I was thinking of it.. ;]

And there was a witness, my girlfriend, but she just doesnt care of this
stuff, she cant tell what she saw - I am just crazy, nuts ;]

Anybody from Southampton seen anything tonight??

hard to say what it might be if in the straight line direction as it could be many things, but not usually of UFO nature, more planes flying higher alt. or meteors/comets. There is a slight possibility of UFO with a known destination so would take direct route. Keep an eye out though as many military experimental as well as UFO happenings seem to go on down that area.

btw.. the only madness in this field is keeping it quiet so no-one knows the truth

Hi guys.
I saw it again tonight..
Around the same time, heading the same west-east route but diffrent part of the sky.
It seemed to be brighter, more into white and slower.

I saw thousands planes, satellites [few this night]
And nothing was like this.
It couldnt be metheor either...
So what then - satelite on very low orbit? Hey, it was huge!

Tomorrow I will begin regular observations, with my camera, tripod and binoculars.

Could have been a plane reflecting sunlight from below horizon, at least from your point of view, on the ground.

I know what I saw, pduffy4 ;]
Im not insisting it was a spaceship from alfa centauri, but definately
not a plane, buddy.
Imagine Jupiter in winter time - this was few time bigger.
And definately brighter.
The closest - imo - satelite on bloody low orbit.

I will call local ufo researcher club, if they had any reports
on it.
cheers

Hey kriss_crow, i know this may seem like common sense and im not insulting your intelligence but if i was seeing the same thing more than once, i would get my camera ready lol.

just a thought :D

My brother and dad were telling my of a very similar story about a year ago of a really bright light going slowly across the sky too. Intersting stuff!!

hey adsy.
I would have had the camera ready if I could have expected to see
it again, buddy. Would you?
[is it good English??]
As I said - I will be ready next time! [tonight]

Anyway - more and more I am inclined to an opinion, that it was satelite on
low orbit. time will tell.

better quality photos hosted now on imageshack.
I know pictures are not convincing and basicaly prove nothing - where is the ball of light I saw?
But I dont have video camera.

Check the real plane at night photo
and satellite flare I was lucky to catch that night.
Look at a crop from from picture called "object part 2" and notice
quite strange light pattern - like cotton string.

No responses under my last post - well - I know what I saw.
Original photos for examination evailable on request.

Those are interesting mate, reminds me of tether incident filmed in space. it could be shuttle-like aparatus with miles long antennae collecting energy from various magnetic fields of our planet. Ofcourse I do not rule out ETs either :)

hey, romas! this object was like a ball of light - forget about tether ;] I know what u mean, I saw this video too.
U can see the straight lines because I had to use long exposure - 30sec
