Has anyone seen the quite brilliant film EQUILIBRIUM starring Christian bale? It came out at the same time as the matrix,so it got ignored somewhat.Does anyone agree that this is a possible future?............providing we survive global warming.Either way it aint looking good,is it?

I absolutely *love* that film, one of my favourites! It's a shame that it's somewhat unknown. As for being a possible future, it is likely that the same sort of effects could be achieved through the use of microchips affecting people's emotions and how they feel etc. But we're not going to let that happen are we! :)

I dont know mate,most people are oblivious to whats going on.They are just happy to get up on a morning,go to work,keep up with the joneses(aint that just sad)etc.Equilibrium is a grossly under-rated film especially as the acting by christian bale is stupendous.I dont idolise film stars but the 3 best performances ever are JACK LEMON in Some like it hot,JOHNNY DEPPE in edward scisssor hands and c.bale in Equilibrium.
