Bizzare symbolism in kids playarea artwork

I noticed this brightly painted kids playarea (dis-used), next to a public library in southend, england. What caught my eye was the cryptic messages and symbols in the artwork (been reading too many 'symbolism' threads)

Does anyone else think it is strange, the 'alien' with "devil" written across it's chest is disturbing, as are the time travel references

Kids like weird fantastical animals and stuff, sure, but check the WRITING that goes around the whole area, The strange messages and 'quotes' that surely would go right over the head of kids of this age that would use such a play area. Can anyone decypher this lot ?

There is also a timeline runniung through the mural, note the year 2000 fireworks at big ben, the spaceship near the end bears 3000

hehe, pretty loopy, it looks like it was drawn by children, but it wouldnt have been too hard to tell them just to paint, and not to draw.

Wow, that's creepy. Great post, thanks for sharing that symbolism in your area. I've gotta get a digital camera so I can start showing all this symbolism here in Thailand.
