ELECTION UPDATE
David Icke invites Conservative candidate David Davis to a debate on Big Brother
Dear David,
I commend you on your stand against the Big Brother State, which I have been warning about in great detail for the last nearly 20 years in ten books, now in 16 languages, and public lectures all over the world.
This research has so far taken me to 45 countries and what is happening in Britain and the world today can be found in my books going back to the early 1990s.
I note that you decided to stand to have a public debate on these issues and as a fellow candidate in this election (who has neither any hope, nor any desire to win) I offer you a public debate at a location in the constituency during this campaign.
It can be at a time and venue of your choice, or we can make the arrangements and cover the costs.
I am inviting you to an informed discussion about what is behind the global Big Brother State because this is not just about the authoritarian and arrogant Labour government. It is happening everywhere at the same time.
Why?
And who is behind it?
We owe it to our children and grandchildren, as well as ourselves, to highlight the agenda for human enslavement and I hope that you will agree to a public discussion on these issues.
best wishes,
David Icke
Sent today to David Davis via the Haltemprice and Howden Conservative headquarters.

Imagine what impact it could have if David Davis is brave enough to take up the offer from Ickey :)

As I have mentioned before, from personal experience Davis is a self-important douch, I fear even if he did take up David Ickes proposal, he would do it for self service and publicitity.

I don't think that he's ever going to do this, as it would endorse Icke as someone with a valid and serious (not loony) viewpoint.
Though I would love to be proven wrong.

An update from DI's headlines page:
David Davis apparently not interested in debating Big Brother with David Icke
David Davis MP, who commendably called a by-election to stand on the issue of the Big Brother State in Britain, has ignored David Icke's invitation to debate the bigger picture of the global Big Brother State and who and what is behind the same Orwellian transformation unfolding in country after country at the same time.
Why would someone who said he wanted to force a debate about Big Brother not wish to discuss the issues with a fellow candidate who was warning in great detail nearly two decades ago about the coming of the very Orwellian dictatorship that Mr. Davis now complains about?
This is the email of the Haltemprice and Howden Conservative Party, through which the invitation was made to Mr. Davis: conservative@haltemprice.karoo.co.uk

People who speak to David Davis need to have a tactic so that they question HIM on the BIGGER PICTURE so that he will then REALISE that he can't fool us.

David Davis pretends not to know about Bilderberg. He pretends not to know that his colleague and former Chancellor Kenneth Clarke attends every year, including last month's meeting. He pretends that he doesn't know that another colleague who's set to be the next Chancellor attended with Clarke for the last three years. He pretends not to know about the total media Bilderberg blackout. He pretends not to know that Bilderberg's own attendee list names the US Defense Secretary and its Secretary of State as guests in Virginia in contravention of federal laws. He pretends that instead of Bilderberg being the lead story on news channels and on newspaper front pages for weeks that isn't newsworthy at all.
Little wonder then that he's shy about having a public debate with David Icke because David would be able to expose him in one minute flat.

After reading that last update, IMO its quite clear why he resigned. It was a publicity stunt, he's more than likely one of the puppets or even worse an actual string puller.
He resigned so next election when all of a sudden he is back in the house of commons the sheeple will remember him and think, he's a nice man he is worried for a our freedoms, lets vote for that party.
When in actual fact he couldn't give two shits about it, as if he did he would have agreed to Icke's offer and would have also taken notice of the millions of emails he received from people like us, for example I requested he demands a referendum so we can vote about the law, but he has no intention of doing anything other than pulling the wool over our eyes, trying to fool us all into believing that there are real politicians out there who actually care for the people they are representing or even worse distracting us or the media from even worse events unfolding within the political agenda.

Actually or even worse, as it seems Rik disappeared almost as soon as this law was brought in, perhaps we have all been hood winked including Icke himself, not that it will bother DI but it could have been a very quick way of collating a database of aware people.
IE how many people sent him an email to congratulate him on his resignation? I bet loads did, I never got a reply, but they now have the email address i sent it from and the IP address of where i was when i sent it, they know they cant take Icke down as he is far too mainstream and public but people like Rik and other heavy researchers and information spreaders would be an easy catch, through this medium.

Davis is a panty waste, all talk and no substance (just like all politcians) the fact he wont debate with David shows how afraid and egotistical he is!
Controlled opposition methinks! :(

Hello there Mr. David Davis,
I know you are 'very important' and probably don't need to listen to me as I am not even in your demograph. However, I - a person not normally terribly 'politically minded'' i.e. disenfranchised - am asking you to take some time to listen to David Icke/Alex Jones and others who may seem so reactionary to your way of thinking. I guess you will find them outlandish as I did initially but when you ask yourself the big questions - ie. Why is there constant war - wherever - when 99 percent of people monumentally oppose and fear it - WHY - does it still go ahead. You are already (I hope honestly) asking yourself - where has freedom gone and where is it going - I am addressing my own MP on these issues. You have the backing of many people to properly address these questions and I hope you are genuine in your respone to the disgrace of the 42 detention question. I and others will be watching and hoping you are brave enough to follow through with morality and honesty. I think you would be suprised at the support you would get if you are continually brave. I have never been a Conservative supporter but the inhumanity of the actions of the 'social' labour party leave me gasping. I don't have a great deal of hope of you being a leading light but here I am giving you a straw. Don't break it eh!
