Is it just me or does this forum sometimes run very slowly? At my connection speed pages usually take only 5 to 10 seconds tp upload, but every few times I click, pages can take 3 to four minutes. Does anyone else have this problem?

No its not just you hagbard......I really struggle to load pages some days. Its SO slow sometimes I get really frustrated and swear at it!!! Other days it seems to work fine. It doesn't seem to be related to the number of users/heavy traffic either, so perhaps its got something to do with the sites web-hosting.
I have very fast-speed internet, and have no problems with other sites.

The new podcast is running incredibly slowly. My guess is it's due to high traffic. I'll try it later.

I too have these problems a while back, especially in the Have a laugh forum, as i post quite a lot there, and it was frustrating a lot of times that it was so slow to upload, (i have high speed broadband) that i could've posted more George Bush pics and in the A Humour thread, but didn't.
So i just thought too that it was congestion (everyone wants to see my input, while i'm posting). That's when i notified the Admin about it, just purely commentating, i noticed after a couple of days later, things were good again, and that's when i realised why, the moderator was removed from that forum and i had a great run.................:) ,until now. It's weird that, and i am only trying to enlighten things.
Don't forget to check out the Have a laugh and have a laugh!!:D

I'm not sure if everyone posting that it is slow here is from Aus?
We are behind the Great FireWall of China here, since they own a huge chunk of communications here. Aus load times and internet times are slow in geenral compared to the US, and it has been really ridiculous the past week or so.

Most days I find the forum runs slow, and I am on broadband.
Some days it's worse than others.
Today it actually seems faster than than ever for some reason.
I am in the UK.

Almost half the world's internet users are in China and that figure is set to rise, so whatever happens there will effect the whole world.
When I visited Australia I found a lot of problems with the Net that I never get at home (UK). One conspiracy website that I used to use a lot, www.aulis.com, came up with the text all scrambled. This was in 2000, and a lot has changed since then; new censorship technology has been developed since.

I'm glad this has been started, I thought it was just me as well;) I have a 4mb connection from Virgin Media, but at times, it's like that drops to dial up speed here!
I'm sure this site/forum is being monitored very closely..........:(

Not so boring that you didn't come back though, eh? well well well.
The other forum obviously didn't take you past the boredom threshold either, since you felt it necessary to threadjack here.
So, point being, how have you found the load time of this board? That is the thread here.

No it seems to me there are two diffrent types of peoplethat come on here because of the time zone's and I know what group I would wish to be on here with.
It was just a joke I love this forum and all who sail on her.
