Was reading some interesting extracts from Carl Jung's letters and one of them I came across talked about how Freud disowned Jung because Jung would not make a "Dogma" of Freudian Sexual Theory.
Freud told Jung that his sexual theory was the only thing which would stop the "black tide of occultism" - I found this insightful as all one has to do it look at modern media and how pornography and sexual explotation has replaced spiritual development within the media. Everything form Hollywood is porn in one sense or another and Hollywood determines a persons status in terms of their sexual identity and not how they are in an emotional sense. Look at that Sex in the City stuff for proof of just how Freudian thinking is Hollywood.
Jung was moving more to the notion that parapsychology and precognition is a far more potent force in human life, than where and who one puts their willy into. This sent Sigmund Freud mental and hysterical.
Freud forced his wife and sister in law to have sex with each other while he mastrubated on them - and yet this screwball is held up as the gold standard in how we deal with mental and emotional illness.
How the hell was this allowed to happen?

Woah! That is pretty kinky.
You should check out the book Assault on Truth, which is about how the psychology establishment pushed Freud to drop his original theory that sexual abuse is the primary cause of hysteria in women. Faced with being stonewalled, Freud revised his theory to create the Electra and Oedipus Complex theory. The author of the book discovered this information in the Freud family private library. They tried to sue to keep it from coming out.

Do you know he had this term and idea he named "penis envy", that secretly all women wished they had a penis like men, and this was a deep subconcious thought pattern that created mental problems for women, what a load of nonsense.
Maybe this was propaganda and programming for women to make some want to have transgender operations, Freud's psychoanalisis theories formed the basis and teachings for many years in the psychiatric professions... although I'm not certain if practitioners still use his methods today? It's believed that many now reject Freud's theories.

Yes indeed Freud has some serious woman-hated issues going on.
There was one passage in the Jung book were Carl Jung took his wife to visit Freud at his home and oul Sigmund hid her away saying something about "nothing to show but an old woman" and later his sister in law approach Jung and his wife with all the sordid details of the relationship. Jung hid this for many years and never made an issue out of it as he did not want to bring people's personal lives into public, yet when Freud discovered that Jung was forging ahead with his papers on his research into the paranormal he wrote letters to acedemic and professional journals trying to have Jung destroyed within the profession. Really hateful and twisted stuff.

In the USA it is full steam ahead. To even question his work in 2008 is met with being branded an anti-semite. Freudian methodology really a "dogma" there and always will be.

INTERESTINGLY ENOUGH, I ANSWERED THE QUESTIONS AS BRUTALLY HONEST AS I COULD.
...And much to my surprise it has me pegged pretty well.
According to the Test, I am a Rational Architect personality: http://keirsey.com/handler.aspx?s=keirsey&f=fourtemps&tab=5&c=architect, I wasn't aware that such a thing existed, but after reading the profile for it, it describes me just about exactly.
Pretty neat, THANKS!

It's obviously complete rubbish as I got drawn alongside Hillary Clinton, Stephen Hawking and Marie Curie.

In the mental health field of the USA, Freudian theory is not as you say, "full steam ahead". I should know, I'm a clinical psychologist. Classical freudian therapy (couch, free association, therapist as 'blank slate') over the past 20 years has taken a backseat to insurance companies.
I've questioned his work several times among other psychologists and I've never been branded an anti-semite. There are several 'schools' of clinical psychology. While there is a large representation of Freudian-influenced schools, there are also many cognitive behavioral schools which do not teach more than a few evenings of Freud. I recall many fine evenings in class listening to various clinicians roasting Freud over the fire. No accusations of anti-semitism.
The reason classical freudian therapy is not as popular as it once was in the US is because insurance companies don't wish to pay for several years of freudian therapy when they could easily go with a time-limited psychodynamic therapy, or an empirically-supported cognitive behavioral treatment that has been demonstrated to alleviate mild to moderate psychological symptoms by the 12th session in many cases.
As a result, Freudian therapy has generally been reserved for private-pay/ wealthy clients who can afford to pay out of pocket for several years of treatment.
It is entirely true that Freud was obsessed with egyptian artifacts, a raging cocaine addict, and smoked up to 20 cigars a day. He was an extreme narcissist and deliberately changed the date of his book "The Interpretation of Dreams" so he could be seen as a visionary for the next century.
Psychology has been trying to recover from Freudian fixation ever since :)

This is all very interesting to read, some what eye-opening in a sense, as I went through several years of psychoanalysis myself.

Cheers for putting me straight on this and I am delighted to hear it. I have to admit the Americans I knew who rabidly defended Freud were not mental health professionals. Rather they were more inclined to be actors, playwrites, dancers and that kind of thing. I was called an anti-semite at a party once by a person in a NYC party for expressing my views on Freud. Which pretty much shocked and hurt me as I made reference in no way to Freud's religion.

Agreed, not to mention his "penis envy theory."
Bet he used that as excuse to get his penis out and say to the girls is this what you need?
