I am doing projection for Kid's Movie Night at the hospital where I work right now. The film is called Enchanted and features an evil queen who shapeshifts into a dragon. How predictable, huh?

Yeah it's so blatant these days, especially in kids stuff! Get the programming in there while they're young & all that.
Hope the kids enjoyed it though, that's a nice thing to do for them:) Do you get to choose the movies they watch or not?

No way! I would never choose a Disney flick. I don't know what I would choose. There aren't that many good kid's movies I can think of. Maybe Gumby or something.

No I didn't mean to imply that you chose that one, I meant could you choose any for the future for them to watch instead?

The hospital people choose the films. They are always animated and mediocre. There was one about a superhero family living undercover that was decent. The Incredibles, I think it was called.
My job is to get the audio and projector set up, cue the DVD, dim the lights, and babysit the equipment. I WISH I could choose the films because I would actually put some thought into it. A film like Les Triplettes de Belleville would engage their imaginations and isn't so saturated with programming.

Lots and lots of kid's cartoons on Pay/Satellite/Cable TV feature shapeshifting, demonic possession or grotesque monsters of one kind or another.
When I was a kid, Scooby Doo was about as intense as it got.

Its done in a way were the masses perceive it as fantasy or not possible, however we know children are their intended targets and through this programming it enters their subconsciousness. Its normally a case of hear no evil, see no evil and speak evil, i think the best thing is to remain as wise as a serpent, but behave and live a warm compassionate human.

i just remembered on Dumbo, i believe an elephant shapeshifts to a snake at some point? in the pyramids, all seeing eye, pink elephants scene, ugh
Children wish to harness such powers and they will emulate the scenes often reciting their idols word for word ...
It's truly insidious.

Ben 10 AlienForce has probably got to be the most obvious effort of infilitrating children's minds with concepts of reptilian agenda's, interdimensional portals etc etc.
Basic premise: Young dude finds a watch while on road trip with grandpa.
Watch has dna of aliens and child can then shapeshift into a number of aliens.
Grandpa turns out to be a member of "the plumbers", a secret organisation which has been fighting for the good of the galaxy.
Grandpa has an affair with an alien and consequently his grandaughter has alien powers.
With the watch and other plumbers kids, they all fight against the High Breeds, a pure form of alien whose purpose is to maintain the purity of their blood and power to exert power over earth. The high breeds shapeshift into human form and are in power all over the world.
This is for kids folks!, and guess what?
You can buy the toys for the kids too......
I always feel that this kind of thing serves the purpose of breaking our kids in gently for the big reveal, just my thoughts on it...

there was a reptilian shapeshifter on monsters inc wasn't there? the bad guy could like go invisible or something if i remember correctly
