Throughout The Book; LIGHT is a used as a metaphor for the Laws of the Torah.

Darkness is the absence of the Laws of the Torah.

Mattithyah means: Gift of Yahweh

Mattithyah 6:22

22: The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, if your eye is righteous, your whole body will be full of light.

23: But if your eye is wicked, your whole body will be full of darkness. If, then, the light within you is darkness, how great that darkness is.

Righteous=Adherence to the Laws of Yahweh, this is the SUM TOTAL of Yahshuas (jesus) Teachings.

"Obey the Laws of Our Heavenly Father-The Laws of the Torah".

6-33: But seek you first the Kingdom of Yahweh and His Righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Yahshua is speaking of Pro-Active; Direct Action~Seek Out, Learn, Study the Laws, then begin applying them in ones day to day activities.

This is refected in the story of the Prodigal son, who had been raised in the Laws but then forsook them, lived a riotous and wasteful life, fell far from the social graces he was accustomed to and when he 'Hit Bottom', he turned around and back to the Wisdom of Yahweh.


No-one will achieve what Yahshua (jesus) achieved without obedience to Yahweh and His Laws.
