So who's seen the Videocast for March? David at his usual perceptive, informative self... What do those who've seen it think? What about the director? :D

Bugger, wish I'd known about the request for questions for David on this webcast. But I assume you will be doing another one?

Yes I believe there are plans for another in the pipeline a little down the track.

Regarding interview questions - it would be nice to get together some questions David has never been asked in interviews. I can think of at least a dozen or more right off the top of my head! I've heard so many of his interviews now, and so often he gets asked the same questions over and over, and for those of us who've been following his work for some time, we already know a lot of his answers. Answering the same questions must also get a bit boring for David.

But the first vid-cast went EXTREMELY well .....David was great, and Sean and the gang did an ace job of recording and editing, so I hope other people who didn't realise it was available in the premier subscriber forum will go now and have a listen also... then give some feedback. :)

I think it was a great videocast. And video/audio is a good complement to written text.

I agree anders. A gret interview where David answers some of the questions put to him from premier subscribers. oneofmany got a few questions answered! ;)

Its strange that not many people on the forum even realise its there to watch, so I'll try and keep this thread up the list in general.

BTW, anybody who is not already a premier subscriber and would like to watch the podcast, you can sign up here:

http://www.davidicke.com/amember/signup.php

Its only a few dollars a month, and it helps support David's on-going work. Being a premier subscriberr means you get a weekly newsletter from David (comes out at the weekend), and access to the PS forum and the exclusive video-casts.

Sorry, but I do NOT recommend anyone putting their card details in for auto payment. Do the one time pay instead. Worldpay will rape you in the arse. They are NOT safe, and everyone in the world will have access to your card, and you will start seeing random charges for things you didn't pay for. I got screwed 576 dollars because of this. Luckily the bank gave it all back.

So do the 1 time charge. Frankly I don't even know if that's safe.

If you're worried about online transactions, I know the office will take cheques.

This is bollocks. You don't even allow a single pay any more. I'm not giving him a penny until there's a secure method of payment transfer.

If you don't trust the nature of paying online, then its clearly not the way to go. Worldpay is the best we have to work with.

To pay a year in one lump sum, you can do it through a cheque to the office. It won't take that long, and the video-casts aren't going anywhere.

Do what I did. The first time I phoned and paid a year in advance, the second time I sent a fax. The phone call cost less than $2 and the fax less than $1. I do not, and never have, trusted World Pay and for some reason they do not use Paypal for subscriptions.

Don't ever email card details either but fax is fine.

Just for anyone else who is worried about online tranactions - go to www.davidickebooks.co.uk (http://www.davidickebooks.co.uk) and you'll find a postal address and telephone number. You may be able to pay over the phone by giving the office a call or emailing, or sending a cheque to the postal address.
