A young boy was refused entry into the cubs for refusing to swear allegiance to the queen. Totally agree with him, but personally think hes been coached into saying it, heres the link

Eh, that's part of cubs ethos. If he doesn't like it there is always the woodcraft folk.

I know hes been told to say it by his daft mother, no doubt. And there made out to be the victims. Im against the queen obviously but when your a kid you just play along, like me when I went to a catholic school. His mothers caused it, bit of a joke really.

Religious grounds?

I notice that swearing allegiance to a god goes completely unmentioned - Whenever will these people learn that all this religion stuff is BS, and actually caused this non-story in the first place?
As for the Queen thing, I know a lot of us do not agree with politically drawn borders, but it would be wise to respect a particular territory's customs - Especially if you are attempting to be a useful member of that society.

"He said he could still go along to trips but he would not be insured or anything."

So fucking what? When will people start taking RESPONSIBILITY for themselves?

"I really enjoy the Cubs and don't want to feel left out or different to everybody else."

So say the bullshit they want you to and join in the fun, no point cutting off your nose to spite your face. IDIOT!

This has amused and infuriated me at the same time. Ahh the good old days, I used to love cubs and scouts was even better because you got a knife!

I bet you don't get a knife these days.. all the joy has gone from everything...

The cub-microchip is to be replacing the cub-knife.
