An interesting question. Madonna certainly plays around with esoteric themes , thats true.

1) In ' Desperately Seeking Susan ' Madonna wears a jacket with the Illuminati ' pyramid with eye ' motif on the back.

2) In the cartoon show ' The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy ' the Discordian goddess Eris is drawn as Madonna ( Episode : ' Complete and Utter Chaos ' )

3) The song ' Beautiful Stranger ' may be a secret hymn to Lucifer : ' I looked into your eyes /And my world came tumbling down /You're the devil in disguise /That's why I'm singing this song '. These lyrics may be meant literally , a love song to the Devil.

4) The song ' Justify My Love ' has a ' The Beast Within ' mix which quotes passages from the Book of Revelation ( The Beast Within = sexual penetration by the Devil or the Antichrist ).

5) Madonna is apparently a practicing Kabbalist - Kabbalism is a mystical religion with links to sorcery , the Golden Dawn and Freemasonry.

6) The song ' Like a Prayer ' contains many blasphemous elements. At the beginning of the song a backwards message is played ' O hear our savior Satan ' , apparently this was featured on CNN. Madonna stands in front of burning crosses and appears to bring a statue of a black man to life by kissing him ( the Devil sometimes appeared as a black man in medieval witchcraft ) she then has sex with him on the altar. She cuts her hands with a knife and appears to manifest stigmata in a church , implying she is a female Messiah.
The plot of the video seems to show a black man rescuing a woman with dark hair from being raped , he is then wrongly imprisoned and arrested for her murder. The woman may represent Madonna ( who was raped in New York ) being symbolically dead but who is then saved by the Church of Satan ( Madonna wakes up from a sleep in the church later on in the video ).

7) Madonna again represented herself as a Christ-like figure , appearing on a silvery crucifix at a concert in Rome.

8) In the song ' Intervention ' Madonna sings " I know the road looks lonely/But that's just Satan's game/And either way my baby/We'll never be the same " - this song seems to refer to inducting her lover into the ways of the Devil , maybe ' the road ' is the left-hand path ?

9) In the video for ' What It Feels Like For a Girl ' Madonna is staying in a hotel room numbered 669 , as she leaves the last 6 swings down to make the hotel number 666. This maybe an oblique reference to The Eagles' song ' Hotel California ' a song which contains Satanic messages and seems to refer to the Church of Satan which was based in a former Hotel on California Street in LA. To emphasise this point , Madonna steals a red car with a giant eagle printed on the bonnet.

10) In the video for ' Human Nature ' Madonna appears in the middle of a 5-pointed star made of rope , around about 3.35 in the video. This is a ' blink and you'll miss it moment ' so is almost certainly intended to be a secret message :

Theres got to be a lot more out there , but all this seems to support the assertions about Madonna , that she has a Baphomet ring and appeared in a blood sacrifice video. She was also trying to get Britney Spears into Kabbalah before Britney went off the rails , seems a bit fishy to me.

i seem to have noticed that many "rock gods/goddesses" have strong occult elements or messages in their texts, lyrics, and songs. even music vidoes and live preformances, hold a strong "occultistic vibe" to them, but whether or not they have sold their souls to "satan" in order to receive fame i do not know. however they use a strong SYMBOL language, and symbols in them selves, are neither good or bad. rather they can be used for the uplifting of mankind, or to keep mankind in prison-religions or prison ideas. it is my experience, that many singers & artists, are balancing elements of good and evil in their songs and messages, and seldom do they come across as being either "good or evil", but rather both. they also often, mix pagan symbols with christian and mix the feminine with the masculine.

I've always assumed that Madonna was just being controversial to sell records , but it would be the perfect cover wouldn't it if she really was a Satanist. I think we have an image of Devil worshippers as being creepy academics or doctors or whatever.

Interestingly , in Mel Gibson's film ' The Passion of the Christ ' , the Devil appears to Jesus ( as he is being flogged ) as a blasphemous parody of the Madonna with a horrible child. This event is not depicted anywhere in the New Testament.

Having seen the ' Rock and Roll ' videos now , it strikes me that many of the heavy metal musicians featured are just having a laugh - I don't think someone like Ozzy Osborne is a serious devil worshipper. For many of the early metal stars , they were just probably trying to annoy Christians and were/are probably atheists. Not every metal group suffered fatalities. Even Marilyn Manson is probably just a guy with a bit of a sick personality , I doubt hes a practicing Satanist ( although he could be , who knows ).

I think many metal groups are just having a laugh - even Jimmy Page to some extent - and trying to outrage Christians or the ' Moral Minority '.

This is a good video (despite the heavy bible-bashing!!). I saw it a while back & it completely changed my perspective on the music industry (which I still really enjoy, but made me look at bands & music differently). I believe there are lots of bands involved in the occult in all genres.

About 6 or 7 years ago, my cousin from England came over to Australia for a holiday. She's a pretty religious person and I didn't take what she told me seriously about Madonna. She said that she (my cousin ie) was good friends with Natalie Embrulia's manager at that time and that the manager knew for sure that Madonna was a Satanist. Yeah there is a lot of conflicted messages about Madonna it's hard to know what the real message is.

But if you listen to some of the songs on Confessions On A Dancefloor, I never understood a word of her lyrics until after reading Icke's work and being into spirituality. It speaks volumes now and it's not exactly a negative message!

That Album (and it's tour) was so great! Then Hard Candy came (mostly as a way to brush off her record contract and finally end it, but still) and she did a 180-degree turn into good music-meaningless lyrics-sexy on stage, like many artists have to do.

Although I feel that she made the decision herself, I still didn't like it. It was as with Gaga - great music production, mediocre or bland lyrics, horrible persone live.

That Album (and it's tour) was so great! Then Hard Candy came (mostly as a way to brush off her record contract and finally end it, but still) and she did a 180-degree turn into good music-meaningless lyrics-sexy on stage, like many artists have to do.

Although I feel that she made the decision herself, I still didn't like it. It was as with Gaga - great music production, mediocre or bland lyrics, horrible persone live.

Yeah Hard Candy was some weird shit. Although 'Devil Wouldn't Recognise' and 'Voices' are great songs.

Sorry to deceive you, but she is "Ungood" lol She's far from being good, She is no less than a prostitute, I have never liked her or her songs even back in the 80s.

I always found her irritating and that is musically speaking, and she has absolutely no personality.
