Last week a friend of William lost her life in Iraq. Second he splits up with his girlfriend. What next? Perhaps the death of his brother in Iraq. All three tragedies would certainly portray William as a poor victim of circumstance and fuel peoples acceptance of a possible conflict with Iran. Especially if the two Iraq deaths were linked with Iran.

I agree with the above comments too that Middleton isn't slimy enough for the Royals. Im surprised she hasn't died in a car crash.

I'm wondering if all this is to do with the Diana inquest , leave poor William alone and everything like that. It would look horribly tactless to carry on with the inquest if Harry got killed just before it started , wouldn't it ?

They DO NOT need another Diana... they would have to kill her too... so decided to let her go... at least she got away with her life!!!

William will marry a bloodline girl. She may already be in the pipeline, all lined up and ready for her appearance onto the scene.

Love is not a requirement for them. You just have to have the right blood coursing through your veins and you're set!

Since he will take the throne someday, and "issue" an heir, they have to be sure she's absolutely suited for the role (the right bloodline). Just like Charles had to pretend to give up Camilla so that he could "issue" heirs through Diana in a fake marriage, so William will be expected to do the same thing.

Harry might get away with marrying a girl with a more 'inferior' bloodline. I will say that within the next 6 months we will see a new girl on William's arm, and a marriage proposal soon after that.

first diana was of more royal blood than the german saxe coburg gotha line, far more royal. they are a proxy aristrocracy to serve the elite, eg east indian trading company etc, world wars etc. also maybe he got tired of slumming it with the progeny of mining stock. it beggars belief that people think a good, rich family of this stature would let their sons marry such common genes. what are people thinking, do they believe they are clever and classless? the royal family are lucky their suppoerters do not think.lol

LONDON, England (Reuters) -- Snobbery is thriving in Britain -- if you believe the upper-class scorn poured on Kate Middleton's mother after Prince William broke up with his middle-class commoner sweetheart.

"This country is riven by the class system. It is more alive than it has ever been," the Daily Mirror's royal correspondent James Whitaker said after the separation was announced at the weekend."

"The problem was the mother...a former airline stewardess."

Yeah, whatever Ms Penny Junor. You may fool yourself and others, but you sure don't fool us! The bottom line is that Kate is not bloodline. Period! That's the beginning and the end of it.

If William is so weak of mind that he would break up with his true love, for arguments sake, because of what his FRIENDS think, then he is a fool indeed and qualified to take the throne.

This scenario may not be quite what it seems, i have heard (cant say from where!) that the reported split may not be genuine, for what reason i do not know.
