This is bit of an experiment, but i wonder among you lot that having a few drinks or whatever, improves your clarity of what you want to say on this forum helps you.............i tend to find that it does help, releases inhibitions.
Is being drunk an inroad to inner feelings....where as normally you wouldnt dare to express yourself.im gunnna leave it to you fellas now.....there is no way i would talk to my best mate like this......
The response to this post will determine what you fellas think.
does mind alterating drugs put you in touch with the real reality.
Achohol etc.
Hardly any response will prove me wrong.

Pissed = Fucked thought. and that's a Fact
Ask me....I'm an expert in the field....I have been Alcoholic in the past, and it was all crap , you think you "see it" and "get it" but you don't....and the fleeting gems you thought you found are gone in the morning ...replaced with a headache.
Better to be sound in the cortex...generally your whole body works better to, just ask any Lady LOL.
Alcohol city ....I've been there and seen it, advice ?? Don't go, there is no wisdom in alcohol.
Only a fool thinks that it is sense...and profound...alcohol and the Demon Bacchus are cunning, and operate with guile, to ensnare the unready and unworthy....be mindfull of them...and pass the test they present.

Hey Phoenix :)
I'm glad to see you've reached the point of no alcohol & long may you remain there honey :) Although I'm typing this quite buzzy from a few glasses of wine, hehe :)
I don't ever get to the 'too pissed' state anymore (had my share of those & learnt my lesson!) But it certainly helps relax me now & then when the mood takes me :) :p I think as long as you don't become dependent on something & do it in moderation, it's cool with me  but I know where you're coming from :)

I often fall off the wagon but I don't get drunk anymore. In my youth I was too drunk to even get in the wagon. ;)
I find drinking and forums aren't a good mix for me, I find I sometimes give out too much personal info when I've had a few.

Hey I like a drink but it does nothing for expanded awareness. It makes me stupid if anything, I lose co-ordination completely, can't concentrate etc. Try mushrooms or DMT if you're looking for a bit of clarity

I don't think drinking and writing in forums is a good mix. When I've had a few drinks I easily misinterpret what's been written and things can easily get nasty. You lose clarity of thought and perspective. Drinking can be fun but only at a superficial level, drunks are boring when they start labouring a point.
Is being drunk an inroad to inner feelings....
Nah!! back in the days when I used to drink a tad too much, I used to talk absolute bullshit when I was drunk :D

Im going to stop having a drink when i come on here.

Thanks for the congrats everbody, cool of you ALL . Thing is with alcohol, we are always in denial first, "Nah I don't have a problem" I was like this, I was in denial,
I have been in detox twice in my life...the first time I was trying to cut down on it...then I gave it up completly however this was the WRONG move as my body was so used to having it. When you are there you have do detox proberly. GP Refferral (for me)
What happened next, my body wasn't getting the "Hit" it needed, so I had my first alcoholic seizure..and I awoke a week later in hospital, THEN I was hallucinating wildly for over a week, and had to be guarded in an isolated room OK!!
Trust me you don't want to end up in that room.
I was still in denial...after coming out in 2002 and carried on drinking thinking I was OK...I wasn't...
I had a "pressure" situation in my life which made me jump back in the bottle BIG TIME, and pulled the cork in after me...to oblivion land...ie nowhere land.
A place that is stagnant and terrifying un-space, beyond all bad psylisibin trips, (been there done them BTW..these days I don't bother...the switch is already flicked LOL)
This time I learned though, I KNEW I had a problem and analyzed it with myself, and accepted the fact I did indeed have a MASSIVE problem.
White Cider is so cheap (never seen an apple in its life BTW) it is also a killer.
In a nutshelll, if you LET alcohol RULE YOU, or even creep up on you, (you may be unawares like I was)
It will systematically destroy you, your friends, your family, and permeate every single aspect of your life.
So if you think you may have a problem...please seek some help.
I don't mind bieng open about any area of my life...so If you want to know the deal with alcohol, i'll gladly tell you.
ALL THE GOOD THINGS

Again, well done! It's a helluva thing.
I've watched people struggle with it until the very end, when ultimately it cost them their lives. They'd already lost their health, family, friends, home, job...and eventually it killed them.
I always had the attitude of "if they really want to stop, they will" concerning drugs and alcohol. Until I started watching Intervention. That show has changed my entire outlook on addiction and I'm far more empathetic now, because sometimes it just IS stronger than the will of the person.

Thanks Tinmanace...its true to say that alcohol can and does override the "will" The secret in dealing with it is firtsly the accepance .."OH yaeh!! do I have a BIG PROBLEM" Thing is by then you are physically, and psychologically hooked.
That's when you KNOW you must do something...Alcohol will ALWAYS be stronger than ANY individual.
Alcohol is a life test (for me anyway) Recognising the FACT that it IS stronger, than the person, at that time is crucial and CRITICAL for intimate knowledge of it.
When you know Alcohol....and you have sparred with him , and beaten him one time....you have MET your enemy, I give alcohol the respect it is due.For it is a strong earthly test for many.
I have him as a friend now....but in my past..consigned to the things I have learned from...for future reference.
In that respect alcohol is my friend. Because I have beaten him , and left respect for him.

Be cool when you drink..kook at absorbtion rates too, having a meal for instance may be good at night, and stuff, bur you have then slowed down the absorbtion rate....so it is STILL with you iinto the next day...YES 2 Cans.
If youve had a good drink in the evening, you are ALL over the limit for the entire next day.

drinking will not help with thoughts on the matrix, hence why it is legal but other drugs that are demonised will, weed, lsd, magic mushroom ect all illegal because they make you think/ percieve things differently and would blow the lid on the matrix.

I totally agree with Whitenight. I doubt very much that illegal drugs are such because Governments care about people, beacuse we know they don't. I mean alcohol and cigarettes are the biggest killers and they are legal in most countries. Whereas drugs that fundamentally alter our perceptions are a threat to the state for which reason Governments spew out negative disinformation to scare people from experimenting.
Masonic3 mentions mental illness, but I am not sure what he means exactly. If he means that hallucinogenics can cause mental illness, then sure, I have to accept that is a possibility. But then living in the insane asylum Earth is a recipe for mental illness anyway. If anything, hallucinogenics can cure people from their mental mind state rather than create it.

I know in my personal experience that hallucinogenics could possibly cause mental illness.
I haven't come down from a LSD trip I took over 10 years ago and trust me I was on the very edge of insanity at one point. I was lucky as I met someone else who it happened to and he managed to help me a lot. God knows, there must be others it happened to who had no one to talk to about it. My heart seriously goes out to them.
I've witnessed mental health issued related to alcohol also, coming from a family that was ripped apart through alcoholism. I love a drink yeah, but now and then. Don't think it helps to expand your awareness one bit though, though it is nice to just completely forget about the world and be an idiot from time to time. ;)

For me I'm through with psycotropic drugs, I'll have the odd puff though, I can still fulfil part of my life as effective carer. I don't buy stuff any more really, I used to abuse everything bar smack..to get kicks, but not now.
In these days, I think it's important to have total self control, when do you know when the shit hits the fan ??

A friend of mine done 3 microdots in one go in the 90's and he never come down we all thought he was taking the piss till he ran in front of a car.It took him 10 years to get over it and he still hears voices sometimes.

I think all drugs should be legal but im not encouraging addiction, i think the way things are atm (in the world) everyone should have the right to get high and escape things for a bit.. however i believe all things in moderation i wouldnt want a world of heroine addicts/ crack heads its the last thing we need but other drugs can be used to challenge perception. Also pheonix u raise a very good point, who is anyone to judge things unless they have experienced them, these politians judge drug users when they themselfs have never tried them.. i say to you mr judge who the fuck are you to judge me if you yourself have never tried them / it?

creep up on you, that really speaks to me, even though i'd already been through drug addiction (i was a cokehead for a few years), i didn't even realise when i started drinking heavily, eventually i was at the point were i HAD to have a drink every night, and if i let myself, i'd drink at a sixpack easily between 8 at night and midnight, no problem.
the question i had to ask myself was what was i afraid of? by my reckoning, i had to be afraid of something within me if i was so keen to get shitfaced every night, i was hiding from the obvious, i was afraid to take the first steps into my new life, too many thing would change. big steps those.
