Has anyone read the book? I can’t believe how they ended it!
Correct me if I’m wrong ( I got pissed off at the end and only skimmed it), but they boiled it down to three explanations..
1, A god
2, Aliens
3, Time travel
And out of the three they pick ‘time travel’ as the most probable???
WTF??..... Am I right or wrong in that?
Don’t get me wrong, I love it when people think out of the box, but this, this is just beyond stupid!
When, imho, most of the evidence points to aliens, why would they pick the most unlikely? The answer is nothing short of to confuse the people and of course the almighty dollar.
What where your thoughts on the book?
I haven't read it but time travel does not make logical sense. We would have to have existed without a moon for X amount of time and then, for some reason, after a period of time we realized we needed a moon. I'm not sure what the explanation they gave in the book was but I'm having a hard time imagining a reasonable scenario in which we would time travel to create a moon.
I would definitely put the accepted theories on how it was formed over time travel, even if I thought that science had it all wrong.

I'll have to go back and read the parts that I just skimmed but they were talking about the 'Mobius Principle', a loop that twists back in time and returns forward again.
Here's a picture ....

I think the Moon was made in China like every-fucking-thing else. I bet that is why it does not rotate 'cause there is a huge "Made in China" sticker on the other side:D:rolleyes:
I think it was Plato who said in his liftime there was no Moon at first then something towed it there. They apparently saw two huge objects arive one was the Moon and the other was what towed it there.

I can't help remembering the line in Star Wars "That's no Moon, it's a space station." - Obi Wan Kenobe
