I would reccomend you bookmark it and listen to it later, but if you realy can't wait, he says, basicaly, that Clarke was being threatened with immortal charecter assasination if he ever should speak publicaly in favour of Hoagland, or if he ever revealed any of his suspected (Hoagland probably knows for sure, privately) insider knowledge of what NASA et al. has realy been up to all these years.

Clarke once made a remark which pissed off the UFO heads, but I think was very telling. He said something along the lines of "I have never seen any proof of UFOs but keep looking..." - I always wondered about this as if he knew more than he was letting on.

I agree with his stance on the subject - other than the amazing events over Washington DC 50 odd years ago, nothing much else in the way of real proof has been offered up.

I think the whole Roswell obsession fetish (and that's what it is) has destroyed UFOology and discredited the whole subject.

I'd bet the proverbial farm on it. On the other hand, yes, he often picked on UFO "believers" in his fiction and non-fiction.

You give credit to the DC flap, yet to you, in over 50 years, there's not been any other single thing to raise youyr suspicions? What a peculiar mental disposition.

Not even this?: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=GLUAhVkGmj0

Why?

The DC flap is the only UFO case I have ever come across which cannot be explained.

What a peculiar mental disposition.

Not nice dude. I am entitled to my own opinion.

Oh I beg your pardon, I didn't know you were using Randi logic here. Anything can be "explained". You could explain me by putting these words down to an halucination from your unconcious if you wanted to. Prove me wrong.

In the last post, I posted a Youtube link (which is mysteriously missing) to this: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=GLUAhVkGmj0

Right. As am I. Now, where was I being "not nice" again? I missed that. I thought I was just mildy debating with a stranger.
