Yesterday (12th April 07) I had a delightful 25 minutes being questioned by the Police, and for what, you may ask?

Well the reasons were -

1. Taking my son to the park

and

2. Carrying a bag

Let me explain further -

1. If you should dare take your child to the park without your wife or another female present then you must be a pervert.

2. If you also carry a bag then you must be in possession of a camera.

What a fucked up country the UK is!

Yeah this country is finished, its a shit hole and an embarrassing place to live. I'm actually ashamed to be British when I'm abroad. Glad I am moving to Greece later this year. There is no backbone at all left in this country and the people are too drunk most of the time, talk about dumbed down.
As for the police and the stupid laws they keep enforcing, introduced by "Bilder-blair", mind control comes to mind. My brother was once arrested for skateboarding, truly amazing. (a major crime I hear you scream lol) When I went to detest, as I witnessed it, (handcuffs everything) they arrested me, for speaking my mind, although on the report it claimed I was skateboarding as well, when I was not, my board was in my hand, they just did not like what I said, because I was not afraid of them.

I wish it weren't true, but I do have the police issued paperwork to prove it.

Just to clarify things a little, the police were called by a paranoid member of public. Although the police established pretty quickly that I was nobody sinister I still had to sit through 25 minutes of questions and form filling my son was also questioned briefly.

The ironic thing though is that the park is covered by cctv so we were all being watched and recorded.

Fucked up? Could you describe it any more litely? It's indescribably insane. Well, okay, not insane since this is all being done for a reason, so in that view it makes perfect sense. I find myself shocked how pure-Orwellian the UK has now become. I mean seriously, how could the people be so stupid? 1984 was written as a warning for exactly what's going on in the UK, and it happends anyway!?

So how did you guys give up your guns, any way? All this Orwellian stuff is being done on the pretext that UK civilians are no longer allowed to defend themselves.

Another piece of irony which happen the same day about 3/4 of a mile from the park and about 5 hours after I was questioned.

I was this time with both my son and daughter walking to a friends house. As we passed a bus shelter which is outside a train station at a busy roundabout, we encountered a male aged about 25ish pissing up against the outside of the bus shelter in full view of everyone and making no effort to conceal what he was doing.

At midflow a police car, and I'm pretty sure it was the same one that was in the park earlier (a kind of half car half van affair), drove pass. Now as this guy was exposing himself to the world including my 13 year old daughter you would have thought they might have done something about it.

Now I'm starting to get paranoid :eek:

This thread reminds me of a time when my brother was badly treated by the police. He was walking down a busy main road one summer afternoon, sober, when a riot van pulled up beside him, got him in the back of the van and searched him. All he was wearing was shorts and t-shirt. Baring in mind that my bro is not a known crook or druggie but just a regular 25 yr old. This was about 2 years ago and it shook him up badly and now he hates the police with a vengence especially after my parents house was broken into one night by a drunk. He smashed the door down and just wandered about the house. My petrified parents managed to call the police who just comforted the drunk and took him home. Apperently he had gone to the wrong house so the poLICE couldn't arrest him because he made a mistake!!!!!

I love 'Great' Britian because from 1st July I could be fined for smoking in a works van even if I'm the only one in it. What a twatish country this is.

If I had the last 15 years again I certainly wouldn't of had kids. When I left school and started working I started to realize how ridiculous the whole system was and how we were so manipulated by authority. But of course I fell in love had kids and now spend much of my time teaching them to be free thinkers, it's worked with my son and me being questioned by the police in the park just helped me prove a point to him. My daughter listens but still gets taken in by it all, my son on the other hand is always getting in trouble for questioning the ethics of the school system, (see freedom of speech thread).

When my father died, he hadn't even reached retirement, he spent 25 years running his own business and being screwed by the inland revenue and the bank, and for what! just to survive the system is the only reason I could think of. The thing is, he knew what a corrupt country this place was/is and it wasn't until after his death we found out that he stitched up the IR & Bank to the tune of many thousands and done it in such a way that they couldn't touch the house and insurance polices that were left to my mother. It didn't stop the bastards trying to intimidate and threaten my mother as they knew she had the money, but legally they couldn't touch it. I still smile when I think how upon finding out his cancer was terminal he planned his revenge without breathing a word to anyone :p
