I was in a city centre yesterday afternoon and there was a bloke preaching at the passers by on how the bible can save us etc and later on when I went past, quite a few teens were mocking him and saying that they dont believe in that crap. OK it wasnt very respectful of the kids to do that but I think that those kids have a better chance of saving each other than that religious bloke.

I think that there are of 3 paths we could go down :-
1. Do what is good/right
2. Do what is evil/wrong
3. Become religious

Path 3 means that we do NOTHING and have faith because "god" will make sure the good wins in the end. I was speaking to a few religious people who believe that god will make sure good always wins. So they just sit back and do nothing. In the end good WILL win and that will be because good people (non-religious) do something to stop the evil people from winning. So in other words WE save those religious nuts and they say that god saved them. Religious people are a waste of time IMO (I'm talking about those who stick to the hard and fast rules of Christianity mainly cos I dont know much about the other religions to be honest).

Path 1 means that they are obviously gonna do what is right.

The YOUNG people who follow a mixture of Path 2 and Path 1* are up for grabs and are open to new info (although they are usually brainwashed into a false history and materialism/consumerism).

Anyway, basically what I'm trying to say is that in my discussion that I had tonight with some religious people, I more or less ended up saying to them that the people who follow Path 2 (the wrong/evil path) have more chance of saving us/themselves than the ones who follow Path 3 (the religious path) and who keep on saying "Have Faith".

Maybe religion was created for this reason, to keep us all repeating the message "Have Faith" and actually not DOING anything.

Religion was created to manipulate the masses better than politicians can alone.

Politics and religion, the two best tools to keep people busy and stupid.

1) You're right.

2) Who cares about being "respectful" to some ranting zealot on a street corner trying to indoctrinate people into spiritual slavery? Fuck respecting that. These people have hid under the banner of eternal damnation and superstitious fear for thousands of years and now even the youth are seeing through their nonsense. Stand up for yourself.

Religion was created to manipulate the masses better than politicians can alone.

True.

Religion = politics. Politics = religion.

Politics is the false governing of the physical world.

Religion is the false governing of the metaphysical world.

Religion is the false governing of the metaphysical world.

Oh, that's good. Very layman terms.

I live in a city in West Yorkshire called Bradford near Leeds, and every year they host a europe festival where they bring all kinds of food and other petty trade goods into the street. However... last year, it got very interesting for me.

[Now ill be honest with you in this part, im not a healthy person, however I am a free person and my opinions and actions in life are strictly my own and nobody elses. Peroid]

Anyhow, i had just walked out of this videogame store, and the high streets were really crowded with these european stalls all over the place. I decided to light up a cigarette, and smoke it where there wasnt alot of children around. [Something ive always done, not far killing myself slow, and others with me]

All of a sudden this man dressed in a black kind of suit, approached me and and said the following...

"Hello my friend, my name is Elder Jolly from the Latter-Day Saints of Jesus Christ. May I ask you a few questions".

The first one he asked was, do you belive in Jesus christ.. and Im still smoking my cigarette, wearing a Slayer T-shirt who's main logo is a pentagram. Now I did'nt want to be mean to him, because this fella had travelled from the states... but I tried to explain the stories of horus etc and lets just say he got very very... well.. agitated.

However, still to this day, I dont know if I should of said no, and walked away, or if i did the right thing by telling him the reality the religon is bullshit. (Pardon my french).

More people need to be aware of the similarities of and repitition of history repeating itself.
