I just learned that May 2008, here in the USA, there is going to be a National ID. If I understand this correctly, one will be getting it at the place where you renew your driver's license. But it will be replacing the driver's license. Personally I don't like it one bit, but I am still trying to figure things out. I also learned that powers that be, signed this thing back in May of 2005, and I never heard a word about it. So now I'm doing catch up on learning everything that I can. My own driver's license will not expire until Jan. 2009, so that gives me a bit of time at least, I hope.

Anyways, I am trying to sort out what is true, and what is fiction. My main concern is the security issue. I don't like the idea of having something on me, that contains all my information, just to have it stolen by some yahoo. I have even read some where, that a person can walk by with a divise, and steal your personal information, while the card in your wallet, or purse. I have also read where people are concerned about this being part of the mark of the beast, as talked about in the bible.

As I mentioned earler I'm only trying to sort through all this stuff, so as to make up my own mind about it. Any comments?

They are pedaling the National I.D card here in the U.K too, telling us we need it
to stop I.D theft, "it will be more convenient for you" and many other lies, to try
to get us all having them. Then i have read that if you fail to update the card when required, you will receive a fine of up to £1000!

This is pure fascism staring at us in the face

I truly hope that their is mass rebellion when they try forcing us to have it, and that millions of us tell them to get fucked when the time comes:D

Unfortunately, it WILL happen. With the aid of another convenient "Terror" Attack in the run-up, it is guaranteed to be implemented virtually unopposed.

After a few years of getting people used to them, it will be decided that they are just not "safe" enough (eg identity theft like that described above), leading to the ultimate goal of the mass Verichip.

Ill see a few of you in jail because I wont accept an ID card.

I am against ID cards but the no2id campaign isn't helpful to new comers and sometimes even hostile.

No doubt about it, its seem to be synchronous global plan implemented by our favourite Lizard men seems like revelations in the bible is unfolding before my eyes!

Hi I posted this somewhere else but worth a look:
Quoted on

http://www.zdnet.com.au/news/securit...0281445,00.htm

Security company Ubizen, which worked on Belgium's electronic ID card scheme, said a biometric card will not tackle terrorism and crime. Bart Vansevenant, director of security strategy at Ubizen, argued the card could not stop international terrorists, who would probably enter the UK on a foreign passport anyway.

"You will not solve terrorism or immigration by introducing biometrics to a card. Why put biometrics on an ID card? It costs you a hell of a lot of money and there are equipment, support and administration problems," he said.

There is a French-language site devoted to resistance to the biometric chip.

I'll resist too; have already signed the petition opposing micro-chipping.
