THIS is the sensational picture which proves ghosts exist, a teenager claims.

The spectral vision was captured by 14-year-old Connor Bond at an ancient castle in the Scottish highlands famed for its ghostly residents.

The ghoulish apparition was snapped by accident while the youngster and his family were attending a wedding at the castle.

The family only noticed what they had captured when they downloaded the image on to their computer and saw the ghostly hand and a swirl of mist around it.

The ghost was captured at Tulloch Castle in Dingwall in the Scottish Highlands - a historic pile well known for its supernatural residents.

Despite describing themselves as 'sceptics', Connor and dad Mike are now convinced the ghost they snapped is real and are hoping experts will examine it and prove them correct.

Mike, 52, from Inverness said: "We were at this wedding and Connor was walking around taking loads of photos. I think he took about 200 in total.

"After we loaded them up on to the computer we were looking through them and were just stopped in our tracks by this one shot.

"You can clearly see this ghostly figure on the staircase.

"You can see a hand on the banister and what appears to be a white mist around it.

"Being a sceptical person I thought Connor had done something to the picture but he says not and I believe him."

He added: "Even other members of the family can't believe what they've seen and are all checking their own photos now."

Tulloch Castle dates back to the 1200s and has a long history of ghostly activity.

The most famous of them is the Green Lady who has been seen by dozens of people, and even has the castle's bar named after her.

She is believed to be the ghost of Elizabeth Davidson, whose family once owned the castle where her portrait hangs in the Great Hall.

Mike added: "I just don't see what else it could be - it's a digital camera so you can't accidentally double expose the shot and Connor swears there was no one around at the time.

"It's a mystery."

I couldn't really see it, also I can't see the piano keys moving. I did hear the 'researcher' say "Holy Shit" 17 times.
The sceptic in me says it is the wind blowing through the curtains and the sSunlight from the windows that is creating the purplish glow. The sounds are like cattle mooing.

Everything I've been able to find about creating double exposures in a digital camera states that you can only create a double exposure 'effect' by using 2 exposures and combining them in photoshop (or some such software).

A 'see-through' image can be created using long exposures and flash as I showed here (http://img132.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc02359sa4.jpg) (please excuse my fat ass! ;) )

I saw purple, but it looked to me like a light artifact, I have no idea about the sheet music flying off the piano, it almost made it all too good to be true.

As for the original photo this thread was discussing, the picture looks like a longer exposure as it's not sharply focussed - this could easily mean that someone was moving through the frame at the time.

Some of them may well be aspects of consciousness in an unnatural state. You can imagine someone who dies believing they're going to Hell or something might have trouble passing over into the "Spiritworld" or whtever you might call it. Ghosts are often formed out of people who've died sudden, painful and violent deaths. Murder victims, drug OD's and suicides are disproportionately common among them.

This is why when my time comes I'd like a Victorian deathbed scene, with all my family and friends round me to say goodbye.

Now im not saying that the pic here is fake and frankly i don't care if it is, until somebody actually encounters one of these things and manages to somehow record the event, in a way that can not be faked or disproved and further is actually able to communicate with the event or spectre, then we will not know the truth.
Until then please try to keep an open mind but don't leave the door banging in the wind, or you might find that it has become unhinged.

I honestly believe if some people actually saw an apparition they would put it down to some psychological state they're in and disregard it. These things are REAL. Sure we can only speculate about the context in which they exist but they do. Yeah its about time there was some good footage of a ghost and the video that is included this thread was pretty interesting, if its a fake its a good one. The photo is impressive though.

That's really not fair. What these people, including myself, are saying is actually a serious theory. I'm not saying that what all ghosts certainly are, but maybe some of them are inded that. In which case it's not deluded to say so and I can't see how it's satisfying any deep-seated need within us for ecognition.

Im glad you liked them.I've sat on these pics now for around 6 and a half years.Most of them were taken round my mums back garden but,pic3 was taken at afriends near cupar and pic5 was from a set taken at a friends in methil.I had decided to see if"they" would show up in different locations as well as my mothers which they did.I havent tried to take any since as it just seemed natural at that time.However i might give it a go again.I've showed them to friends over the years,and some of them think they are fakes,but some of them were there and witnessed them being taken and know they are not.My close friends and i tend to think they are spirit pics.However i might be wrong.Who knows.Anyway,it's good to have been able to post some of them on a great site such as this.Im a big fan of david's and Michael tsarion and Alex jones etc.Great site.Keep up the good work.
