I'm currently reading the book Merging Dimensions by Tom Dongo.
The book describes various strange phenomena the author has observed
near Sedona, Arizona in the mid 1990s and earlier. In addition to the
phenomena the author also notes the presence of at least one publicly
unknown military base nearby where strange activities had also
been observed in the Sedona area.
Here is a quote from the book. The author is providing descriptions of various
strange occurrences observed near Sedona.
"[There were] three completely separate, months-apart reports of jet fighters
and one helicopter flying at low altitudes and simply vanishing. In
one case, a mirror-like flash was seen on the midsection of a delta-
winged jet fighter. The aircraft had clusters of rockets under each
wing. There was a flash and then the aircraft vanished and did not
reappear. Type of aircraft unknown -- could be some sort of hologram
experiment. One of these incidents, a vanishing helicopter, was
eye-witnessed by a retired Air Force colonel who remarked before
being dragged away by his wife, 'I'll be damned. They finally
perfected it!' Your guess is as good as mine what 'it' is. The colonel
and his wife left the area before they could be interviewed."
Note that the above book was published in 1995.
That got me to wondering: are there other reports of vanishing aircraft?
So, I did a little searching and yes, other reports of similar "vanishing aircraft"
sightings have been reported and can be searched for on the net.
Another example:
"Over the last 6 years I have noticed what seem to be 'vanishing' aircraft.
The first two on Long Island 1999 and 2000. I noticed the aircraft while I was
driving, saw it was a plane, looked back down at the road, caught a flash out
of the corner of my eye where it was, looked back up and the craft was gone.
As there wasn't much detail to what I saw, I figured it could be anything. I
mean, I was driving and looking at the sky as usual, and these bits and pieces
that I did see could have been anything - but the plane, both times, was
gone. The second time it happened I pulled over and searched the sky - it
wasn't there. I didn't know what to think, so I dropped it."

Note the dates of the above report. Also note the location: Long Island, New York.
Could this have been part of some sort of rehearsal exercise?

In addition to visual sightings of these phantom aircraft, witnesses also report aircraft sounds:
"In 2003 I was sitting on my front steps one summers day and I heard a jet
going overhead. I looked up - yep, a jet. As I was not expecting what
happened next, I again didn't pay much attention to it. I looked down for
maybe three seconds, looked back up again - no plane. I heard it - but it
wasn't there. I got up and searched the cloudless sky - I could hear it, I
could hear the jet engine, but not see it."
(same source as above)
And, here's another particularly interesting report from the same source
as above:
"On March 18, I had just arrived out on the patio and looked up. I spotted
another craft. In the time it took to see it - register in my head that I saw it
- follow up on it looking for 'wings' or some identifying marks - It vanished.
Now this time it did not just vanish from the sky. It vanished from front to
back. In other words, it was like it flew into something - like a cloud. There
just weren't any clouds. It just vanished from front to back like it was flying
into something."
But, what could be causing this vanishing aircraft phenomena?
Could this have something to do with it:
"Holographic projection for military purposes was conceived after the Gulf War
of 1991. Holographic projects involve the projection of 3D audio images over
to any place at any time. Images can be projected across large geographic
areas to create a virtual experience for those lucky, or un-lucky, enough to
encounter such images."

Note the bit about "3D audio." Three dimensional visual plus audio.
So, apparently there are instances reported of aircraft being seen and heard
and then simply vanishing.
Here's another example of vanishing planes and mention of holograph
technology by aviation expert John Lear:

Note that the witness, Norm, said the "plane" cast a shadow on the ground.
So, is there some evidence that the military has such technology?

So, how might this fit into 9/11?

So, anyway, I hope you'll forgive me for "jeopardizing the 9/11 Truth Movement"
and for "insulting the 9/11 dead" by posting this thread. ;)
