Every adult in Britain should be forced to carry 'carbon ration cards', say MPs
27th May 2008 - dailymail.co.uk

Every adult should be forced to use a 'carbon ration card' when they pay for petrol, airline tickets or household energy, MPs say. [...]

Under the scheme, everyone would be given an annual carbon allowance to use when buying oil, gas, electricity and flights.

Anyone who exceeds their entitlement would have to buy top-up credits from individuals who haven't used up their allowance. The amount paid would be driven by market forces and the deal done through a specialist company.

MPs, led by Tory Tim Yeo, say the scheme could be more effective at cutting greenhouse gas emissions than green taxes. [...]

The Government says it supports the scheme in principle, but warns it is 'ahead of its time' ... [Code for: we will go ahead with this, not just yet. But it's definitely on the 'agenda']

The idea of personal carbon trading is increasingly being promoted by environmentalists. In theory it could be used to cover all purchases - from petrol to food.

For the scheme to work, the Government would need to give out 45million carbon cards - each one linked to a personal carbon account. Every year, the account would be credited with a notional amount of CO2 in kilograms.

Every time someone makes a purchase of petrol, energy or airline tickets, they would use up credits.[...]

But critics say the idea is deeply flawed. The scheme would penalise those living in the countryside who were dependent on their cars, as well as the elderly or housebound who need to heat their homes in the day.

Large families would suffer, as would those working at nights when little public transport is available.

HOW THE SCHEME WOULD WORK :

* Every adult in the UK would be given an annual carbon dioxide allowance in kgs and a special carbon card.

* The scheme would cover road fuel, flights and energy bills.

* Every time someone paid for road fuel, flights or energy, their carbon account would be docked.

* A litre of petrol would use up 2.3kg in carbon, while every 1.3 miles of airline flight would use another 1kg.

* When paying for petrol, the card would need to swiped at the till. It would be a legal offence to buy petrol without using a card.

* When paying online, or by direct debit, the carbon account would be debited directly.

* Anyone who doesn't use up their credits in a year can sell them to someone who wants more credits. Trading would be done through specialist companies.

This is ID cards via the back door. It would also create yet another nightmare bureaucracy.

Global warming is a crock of shit anyway. They will have to hurry and implement these awful proposals, before the sheeple notice the world is cooling down.

Fuck these assholes, I didn't pass a driving test just so I could freakin' catch a bus, taxi or walk long distances. I used to chuckle at the idea of converting your cooking oil to drive your car, but if they do this I will seriously look into this. Or better yet, leave this shit-hole for good like I've always wanted.

This is just another attempt to halt communication, and give us somthing else to be preoccupied with. And in usual fashion most of us will believe its for the Planet. They are just seeing how far we can be pushed and how eager we are to comply with yet another idea that will see us giving away yet more of our freedoms.

When we've finished being indignant about this, if we dont take responsibility and free ourselves from the consumerist illusion, what do we expect to happen?

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAH AHAHAH!

Come on guys, the world is run by perverts, paedophiles and murderers, psychopaths and sociopaths, lizards and reptiles. But come on, some of what they are suggesting and implementing is bloody hillarious. A carbon credit system, man I'm allmost chuckling my guts out. And the worst part is, the sheeple will, after a year or so of being constantly reminded what a great idea it is, by radio, advertising, subliminals and tv "news", welcome the idea with open arms, thinking they will do their bit to try save Mother Earth.

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HHAHAH!

Couldn't agree more, friend.

It makes me irate sometimes, blood boils.

Just another scam to make these 'environmentalist', and for defra to hoodwink us into more fear, more tax, more ignorance with preoccupation...AND more power control. There's a film i see lately with the feller from shawshank redemption that seems familiar with this sort of thing, anyone know it, its not a 'A' movie though...

oh and fuck them. i will take myself and any willing to a piece of land and refuse their control over us. Who the f**k do they think they are, assume they have the 'right' to control any body demand this and that..take some land, payed for of course, grow our own food, teach the children real knowledge, build homes, have a small stream running through the middle of the villages, lovely lake , nice people, all content. Build a spaceship within 20 years, go where no man has gone before....supposedly lol...

Why dont we lobby the MP's behind this as I think if enough of us do we can start to scare them and it may start to shake the foundations here in the UK too. As I get a feeling the foundations are starting to shake the pyramid of power, what with the judge for 9/11 and the exposure of the oil scam.

It could all go tits up for them if we keep the pressure on.

60 million carbon ID cards= a hell of a lot of trees or petro chemicals plus the fuel to distribute them around the UK plus there will have to be a new concrete building to house all the data oh plus the electricity to monitor the amount of carbon and electricity we use ,who use, they use,so do you,who me?yes you, well whos monitoring you?well I am not sure so maybe we need another department to monitor the monitors

It does remind me of filling up a car with the engine on and a brick on the accelerator

I think I need to sleep

I think we need to discuss this more, this thread should be stickied if it turns out they are going ahead with it, or if they are definite, then we need to know the implemention dates and the exact lies and shills talking about it/promoting it....

how about a allin one cvard, eg biometric/national id, medical card, carbon allowance, electronic money credits, driving licence, travel card etc, then everyone will have to have one, a multi function card is the best way to make people accept it.

all they have to do is advertise its wonderful features, convience and offer discounts/perks.

Like one of these?

There are two big concerns in using a cell phone

1. The microwave radiation is BAD NEWS for your health, longevity, and especially for your brain. You are LITERALLY COOKING your brain with microwaves from that cell phone (I need to find the photo showing a boiled egg cooked by the radiation from two cell phone placed on either side of it). Children are the group most at risk. If you love your children, explain to them the damage caused by microwave radiation and don't let them use or own a mobile.

2. The cell phone is your personal NSA/CIA/MOSSAD/MI6 tracking device and monitor station. The government doesn't have to worry about implanting you with a microchip if you're going to carry it around with you voluntarily.

Using a cell phone for conversations, purchasing, billing, e-mail, barcode access, photos, etc is the best way I know to help fill the government's data bank on you with every minor detail of your wants, attitudes, motivations, peccadilloes, and personal thoughts that they can later use to control or influence you to the nth degree. I guarantee that every iota of data that passes through your cell phone is recorded on government computers --you can take that one to the bank.

Every location on earth where that cell phone has been physically located, minute to minute, hour to hour and day to day, while in your possession is ALSO recorded onto your government data base. Thus, they know what you're saying, what you are interested in, who you're interested in, what you care about, where you were, and what you were doing. Sounds to me like a cell phone is the ideal, indispensable accessory for a New World Order slave.

To stop cell phone interest, print out the articles on my site (and other web sites) that CLEARLY report on the damage caused by cell phone radiation and show them to people. Once young people realize that they're going to increase their chances of getting a brain tumor by a HUGE FACTOR, they're going to think twice about the value of using a mobile versus dying in a hospice of incurable brain cancer at the age of 30 or 35 years old, perhaps younger, according to some reports. This is not a scare tactic. It's documented science.

Now, what to do about it:

1. Don't buy or use a mobile phone.

If you are the sort of person who MUST have a way to be immediately contacted (most of us don't fit into the "must-have" category, except those whose egos tend to make them think so) then it's still possible to use a PAGER without revealing your identity or address to the paging service company. Yes, the pager can be tracked by GPS and yes they can record the phone numbers transmitted to the pager, but you can foil that tracking effort by working out in advance a series of CODE numbers which will be substitutes to represent certain individuals whom you could call back using
a pay phone instead of using their real phone numbers to page you with.

Yes, the growth in electronic transfer of funds plays into the cashless society game plan.

Bartering systems

2. You can still join with others to establish other means of value exchange within your group. That could be silver or gold coins. You could print your own script (paper play money). Or it could be a barter system where bartering points are stored in your Barter bank book account and you exchange points for goods or services. You could even work out a bartering exchange agreement among your group where so many apples is equivalent to so many pounds of rice, etc.. Labor equivalent charts could be worked out for similar type labor. For instance, an hour of electrician work is equal to an hour of carpentry or plumbing work-provided the work is performed diligently.

I feel that the full implementation of the cashless society is still many years away, but if we began to implement a PARTIAL bartering system now, it will be easier to transition over to full bartering system if required in the future. It's important to remember that IF enough people reject the plastic money scheme and turn to a barter system, there WON'T BE a cashless society as the controllers wouldn't want to lose access to your money, labor, or the control over your life.

Credit Cards

3. Speaking of plastic money, don't use a credit card ever. The psychological lift from not being in debt or owing people money is more valuable than you could possibly know. The sense of freedom is invigorating. If you have a credit card debt, even a low one, it makes you FEEL like an indentured slave. If you want to use a card to make purchases over the phone or internet, then use a debit card only. Don't buy anything on credit. If you don't have the money, don't buy it or sell something to get the money or borrow it from friends if you must, but DON'T USE A CREDIT CARD.

4. Another idea is to join or form a community cooperative. You assign jobs to grow food, build homes, raise chickens, etc., and everybody shares in the bounty and nobody pays a dime. You make you own electricity, make your own clothes, etc, etc.; you become completely self sufficient. There are already groups like this around the world. There is the religious group in Switzerland who use a free energy device called the Testatika. They are completely self sufficient and independent of the local economy. I know of a Japanese group in Brazil of about 200 people. A very successful and warm family group; none of the communist trappings associated with the Israeli kibbutz.

The interest in self-sustaining, self sufficient community living arrangements is growing. While the foolhardy will dawdle away the time continuing to play the Illuminati's enslavement money/employment games, the wise will take steps to extricate themselves from The System and team with others of like mind to share the work and acquire the knowledge to live independently.

What can you do along these lines in England?

I'll totally agree with not owning a credit card. I used to have one with a sizeable balance and all I used to think of was which other credit card can I swap the balance onto. It was physically and mentally draining, not to mention a huge argument causer at the home.

I've got rid of it now, and as Cruise 4 says, the freedom is fantastic, if this is what it feels like from just getting rid of one thing, imagine how it will feel to no longer be enslaved by money or objects or desires. :)
