Well I am unemployed by the system, but my son is a very craving employer!
I love it, have never been able to keep my enthusiasm about work for very long, but now I cant wait to get up in the mornings to do my "duties", hopefully I will never have to do something really boring for money again!!!:D

I was just talking to my daughter on the phone and I said I really don't want to go back to work tomorrow. I have a job where I am helping others but I have really enjoyed doing my own thing for the last few weeks.

Fantastic line!

Yes, i'm also have no job at the moment (well for the last 2 years). Before that i
worked at Morrisons for a couple of years after leaving school, then quit because it was so shit! I had a few jobs after that doing warehouse work and the longest lasted about 2 weeks. I have a major problem with authority! Especially some tosser manager that thinks their somehow above you, treating you however they like. I do however have a job lined up for the end of this month, because i need to save up for this music festival in August. But once i have earned what i need, i will probably end up telling them where to go, and quit.:D

Hi, good to hear from you guys, I'm on the dole at the moment. Managed to not work for others since 2004 even though I went through some REALLY tough times. Now I'm on the dole, in australia, after 6 months on the dole they make you work for the dole (unless you've got disability or something) and now I'm running close to my 6 month period, but fingers crossed. I've got no Idea what I'm gonna do, I'm saving money at the moment to go back to the goldfields.

I am willingly unemployed, having quit my previous jobs even though I was doing ok, on one occasion, I was gonna be promoted. I'm also unemployable in a way, I've no qualifications.

However, If a cushy job comes along I'll take it, at the moment I've put my hand up for a 15 hour a week gig, driving around watering plants in buildings. Sweet or what? Hope I get it. I need to save up somehow to get back to the goldfields, where I can actually earn some money doing my own thing, working for myself.

Good on you all for not being a cocksucker, one of the reasons I don't want to work for others. "Society" makes you feel guilty about it which is so wrong.
Shame on all those people who work for banks, the police, doctors, prosecutors, government roles, pollies, etc. they are the ones who are doing a great injustice in the world, and they know it, subconsciously or consciously, don't let no one tell you otherwise.

I will consider taking full-time employment when i see the following job advert at
the job center:

WANTED: Magic Mushroom Vendor

Will be required to work in a totally chilled out environment dealing with the day to day maintainance of psilocybin mushrooms. No experience necessary - Only a
keen interest in making the world a much nicer place to live.

You will paid with free food, a place to sleep and quality psychedelic time with other like minded individuals on a daily basis.

Dick heads need not apply.

I too have a problem with authority.
I detest being told what to do,its OK to ask me in a proper manner
as long as they dont push it.:)
Another thing about work is that you have to pretend to like the people you work with, its hard work.
I have worked with some genuinely nice people though.
Basically, from the moment i left school i never really wanted to work
it just seemed a waste and pointless.
Last year i worked for my local authority on a 12 month contract.
picking up rubbish and roadsweeping.
At times i was pulling my hair out with utter boredom, but it did have a saving grace.
the job was so laid back only sleep was easier.:D

the fuckers want you off as soon as i missed my appointment (it was ment to be yeterday but i thought it would be today as i moved it last time from the thursday to the friday, so me thought it would contiue bieng every friday i had to sign on- wrong! had to wait for 2 hours and fill in forms as they stopped my claim and i had to start again!! when its there fault fot not telling me my next appointment)

anyway i would like to work, im itching for a job, its not that i dont enjoy your company its that i feel like a hampster. but there is sweet FA in the way of skilled jobs / apprenticeships / trainee jobs... mainly beacause of the influx of immigrant worker, but this is by design i noticed a lot of young people at the jobcentre more than iv seen b4 i think there starving us of jobs in hope we will join the armed services LMAO, i almost walked in there 2day was going to say i want a job driving a tank and when the bloke says hmm ok id say ''are you still using depleted uranium in tanks?" whats that.. you still are, fuck you and goodbye!

I was on the rock n roll for about 5 years solid, and sod it I enjoyed every minute of it.. I would just sit round and make music all day and educate myself with good books, play football and keep fit and just generally lark around.. If any worker would tell me there taxes were paying for my dole money I would just say 'really, thanks a lot mate'. One particular person got pretty irate about the whole subject so I told him in the same breath that 'his taxes' were paying for women and children to be slaughtered in the middle east. That shut him up for about 10 seconds..

.'his taxes' are going to be for the new nuclear missiles, the iraq 'war'.afghanistan war,any future 'war',making sure immigrants get everything they want.(UK).etc.Welfare payments are a tiny, tiny fraction.
Roughly 95% of people are working in the UK,why is the remaing 5% made such a big fuss of?..cos they wont conform, they want everyone to be a mindless robot.
Anyway, when a working person opens their wage packet the first thing they do is look at the NETT money, not how much have i given to the unemployed this week.
Their money will go straight into the bank and out again to their mortgage lender, some to pay of the new car they didnt need and the remaining £10 to spend on food at asda for the week.

Exactly mate! I was always much worse off when I was working in a 8-6 job. I might've had a few quid a week extra but it stopped there. The whole tax thing is a con in it's purest form as is money coming to speak of it..

Lets be strictly accurate. "His" Taxes service the national debt and go into the pockets of the private banking corporation, which then conjours up new money as more debt to pay for everything else. So hes never paid for anything, other than the privalege of being enslaved

The person that got irate with you,got that way cos more likely hes up to his eyes in debt...its his fault,he fell for it....so he/she takes it out on the unemployed.
Ive said in other posts, but it seems to me that all people seem to care about is "how can i outdo my neighbour".......cos then ive made it.

I do work. Its the most over rated thing on the planet. But what motivtes me to work is that i want to do something with my music, and it takes money to do that. Plus i would like to travel. And lastly i want to help out family in case they need a bit of money.

If it wasint for these things i probably wouldnt work.

you lazy people not working lol . nah i dont, i am on the sick for 3 months and just seeing what life might give me after that. just hope they dont say im crazy:D . but yeah perfectly if you didnt rely on the system at all, it would be ideal. noone would care about the laws and the people who did pick the dogs shits up would be seen as abit funny.

also another point- is work everything what lifes about?. people seem to sometimes think it is, "oh im a postman, me" ect.and its like if you dont work you dont fit in, your noone, you dont have an identity. similar with the police they put there police cloths on, and thuss also supiriority complex, because they inforce the law.

I was listening to a piece on the radio this morning about Welfare reform and they waffled on about helping the 'poor' blah blah blah. The impression I get is that all the 'poor', 'unemployed' people are just stupid by definition and we should all those very clever people at Government and the Quangos decide what is best for us.

I say fucking good for you if you are unemployed, I was over christmas and quite enjoyed it except for the patronising Job Centre staff. Now I'm in a job I enjoy but wish you all the luck in your future procrastinations :).

Talking about patronising,im due to go on a 3 day course soon cos ive been unemployed for 6 months, ive been on it before.
You know the course, where youre talked to like youre some kind of idiot and have to watch incredibly stupid videos on interview techniques, there is no way im going to take part in a mock interview.
They know we dont give a monkeys, but they plough on regardless.

I dont think people are particularly proud of what they do,they do it through necessity or as is the case, theyve put themselves in that position,im repeating myself here again but its the mortgage thing, buying cars.etc.
I find the vast majority of people are unhappy in what they do,but they cant get out of it.
One thing i cant understand are the people that stay in the same job for decades on end.mind boggling.

One of the things I can't stand is when people say "I love my job", even when they're a painter or a plumber or something like that. But even if they're a doctor or have a highly paid job, they're talking shit, in the truest sense of the word. I reply with "so you would do it for nothing then?" They'll say no and I tell them that they don't like their job then. Simple.

Not many people have a job that they'd do for free, and saying "I like my job" is simply a form of denial.

As for painting,i avoid and put it off as much as possible, that really is a mindnumber..........and to do it everday....jesus.....suicide sounds more appealling.

In a way pete,we all rely on the system cos its the same for everyone whether we like it or not.
but that doesnt mean we have to bend down and accept it and yes laziness does come into it,id rather be a lazy twat than work for some company that doesnt care whether you lived or died.
profit is god to them.
youre just a number on a payslip who is expendable,at any time,no matter how long you worked for that firm.
It took 4.5 billion years to create me,id rather waste it doing nowt than give my life away to some firm for 40 years.........just to be told at the end of ...fuck off mate......youre not wanted anymore.

YES- you will always see that old guy with hands like leather, labouring or pottering about these people are the bedrock of most industries but they are paid shit and have no say in anything, its discusting these people are the most hard working people ever, and at they end of there lives they have a shitty attached house in a dogy bit of town, a rover. id love to see these office chimps after the pending 2012 get out and survive in the wild, or even change a tyre lol. FUCK THE SYSTEM !!

We need to creat a pertition.. but instead of it bieng a pertition we will make it a pledge, we the undersigned will quit work and stop using our credit/ debit cards / bank accounts, we will stop paying bills. stop voting stop spending in corperate companys like wallmart starbucks ect, unless you the government sort this shit out.. total renovation of the democratic / government / private banks system. also de-classify all secret info (see the small fires start happening in office buildings over the world lol). but it could easilly work, in the UK a 160,000,000 people signed the road pricing pertition so if we could get 5 million people that would fuck the UK up in a big way, 5m people not paying debts or working? the country would collaps and it would get news coverage to encourage more!

Spot on Brother!!! If you really liked what you do, you would do it 7 days a week with no pay, and no questions asked. When is this world going to realise that we are not meant to be doing some mind numbing job, to further somebody's lifestyle, but instead to do what needs to be done to feed our families, and keep a roof over their heads. That means farming, hunting and gathering, or even, in today's sick society, working for yourself, instead of some faceless corporation or even work for a co-op group, who are all in it for the same purpose that you are, to feed, clothe and shelter their families.

Corporations are evil, in every sense of the word. Full stop. when we as a species say no to the corporate giants, we cease to give them power, and they shrivel up and die eventually, which is what we want, don't we?

Yeah, how would rich spoiled cunts feed themselves, keep warm, stay protected ect if there were no one farming the food they eat, transport it, cook it, no workers providing electricity, no one wiling to be a body guard, no one willing to give a shit about their protection; instead we stick up for each other, etc-you get the point.

I can't wait till 2012, not that I rely on it, but jeez it'll be good. Party time.

I've got no problem looking after myself. One of the problems with me was that I was too hard a worker, in jobs, even though I'm unemployed I can work harder than most people. They can go and get fucked now, but if we ever had to start living of the land again, cool, it'll be a breeze.

That's the thinking Brother. You can't be a slave to the system if you say NO!. Were meant for better things than to worship the almighty dollar.
