I picked up 4 trojans lastnight, beware all. I managed to delete, but don't know which site they came from.

Anyone know if myspace site is full of viruses:confused: I'm new to that site.
I followed a link from here to a podcast, can't remember the site but will look in a min and post soon.

The podcast broadcast kept stopping and starting:confused: I'm no expert with computers, but could that mean there is viruses on the site:confused:

http:/www.magickmind.paranormalplanet.com Heres the link in question! from the general thread section ( anyone know any intresting audio or something like that)

If you need any help with some decent programs to keep your computer safe and stop it from entering sites with viruses, then just give me a shout.

First thing I would do personally, is download and install firefox and get rid of internet explorer. There is a brilliant add-on for firefox that gives you full control over scripts..

Make sure you use Windows Vista because NSA has "'helped' Microsoft ensure that it was delivering a product that was both secure and compatible with existing government software." Now, doesn't that make you feel soooo much safer? lol. :D

Hypothesis: Microsoft has in collaboration with NSA in the Windows Vista operating system implemented a background process on the device driver level that logs all events and sends them at intervals to a remote snooping server(s). In short, every mouse move, every click you make, every file you open, every key you type, every web page you visit will be known to both Microsoft and NSA.

Is this only a mindless accusation I make? No, it's a hypothesis. Is this mere paranoia? Maybe so, but prove me wrong.

And this can even have been done on the hardware level. I wouldn't be surprised if Windows Vista requires new hardware such as a CPU of a certain minimal version. If so, then not even clever hackers or scientists at universities will be able to know fully all the background processes that are running on Windows Vista.

If so, then not even clever hackers or scientists at universities will be able to know fully all the background processes that are running on Windows Vista.

Is it then impossible to detect this kind of snooping? We can look at it from the perspective of extreme paranoia. Scientists can read the actual communication from the computer. Not by using a commercial TCP/IP analyzer because such instruments cannot be trusted. Remember, we are talking about a very high level of paranoia here. :D Instead, the scientists will have to measure the electrical signals on the network connection of the computer running Windows Vista. And the measured electrical signals will have to be digitized, and this raw digital information can then be reversed-engineered using a computer program written by the scientists themselves that will convert the data into TCP/IP packets. The reverse-engineered TCP/IP packet stream is then analyzed to see if Windows Vista is communicating with some snooping NSA/Microsoft server. Even if the communication with such snooping server is heavily encrypted, the raw TCP/IP packets will reveal at least that data is being sent from Windows Vista to (and perhaps also from) an external snooping server.
