The 17th Chapter of the Tao Te Ching states:
Where the wise one governs, the people hardly know he exists.
Next best is a leader who is loved.
The worst is one who is dispised.
If the government does not trust the people.. the people become untrustworthy.
The wise one does not talk (!!!!) he acts. When his work is done, the people say, "Wow! We did it all by ourselves!".

This scripture confirms that we have the most horrible government possible here in the U.S.. and, most likely, where-ever you are, too.
