Just wondered if some of you folks can recommend new books to read? I've read all of David's books and more 'self awareness' books that you can shake a stick at. Looking for good books about D.N.A. metaphysics and the like. Also books similar to Lord Of The Rings, The Amtrak Wars or other symbolic novels. Ancient mysteries and accounts or just plain good books!

Tony Bushby - The Secret in the Bible.

I touch on this in the above thread, and I highly recommend the book. It has some relevant information about the DNA that you may find very interesting.

David Eddings, Raymond E. Feist, Robert Jordan, Frank Herbert. These authors are, in my experience reading them, brilliant. Frank Herbert's Dune series is exceptional.

just got back from vacation; read a number of books.

by far, the best to me was "A Game as Old as Empire", edited by Steven Hiatt. it's the follow up book to "Confessions of an Economic Hitman" by John Perkins

this is an anthology of insider's who have played the debt enslavement game for years; some of the testimonials are heartbreaking to me, particularly the section on the Congo (if you own a device with a silicon chip, READ THIS BOOK! :mad: )

the good news is that we can all tap into the huge network of people who are intending to collapse the world bank, imf and wto (this last is HUGELY important to bring down, imv).

absolutely ESSENTIAL reading!!!! :)

I've read the cosmic serpent just after infinite love coincidentally enough. A few people have told me about the dune series but just never bumped into them! I've heard of Robert Jordan and Frank Herbert but I'll look them all up..

Just downloaded an exert of 'A Game as Old as Empire' and will read that..

The science of extra terrestrials looks cool.

The holographic universe by michael talbot is an excellent read .I read it before it was quoted from in some of davids books so that shows how good it is .Dan millman books sacred journey of the peaceful warrior and the way of the peaceful warrior or also good reading ,Bob frissell nothing in this book is true , but its exactly how things are and the follow up something in this book is true are quiet good as well .The alchemist by paulo coelho and many of his others .Some novels have much info within the storys , its nice to get away fro m the serious stuff and follow a story sometimes albeit along the same lines , inspiring and uplifting . Cosmic serpent is awesome read i have read it a few times now . :D

Cheers for that.. I saw the holographic universe a while ago but completely forgot who wrote it..
Way of the peaceful warrior was the first 'self help' book (for want of a better expression) I read. I've read all of his others too apart from the latest one, journey of socrates or something. I went right off Dan Millman when I used to subscribe to his news letter, and in one of them he said 'I do not believe in any way of a deep dark conspiracy going on', which is his opinion of course, but it made me wonder if he was the real deal, especially as he is always referring to 'illumination'. And it's probably just me, but he seems to have that certain same look in his eyes as nearly all mind control victims. I hope I'm wrong, especially after peaceful warrior genuinely did help me at the time big style as I was just a hopeless druggy/drunk teenager when I read it.
Read most of cohelo's books, they're pretty nice books, like you say just to get away from the hard stuff for a while ;)

Know were you are coming from on that millman thing i found the same with celestine prophecy when it first came out people setting up websites relating to their experiences of it were being sued by his lawyers .I thought the main thing was to expand awareness it doesnt take anything away from them or their bank balance but apparently it does .Anyway like you say and i have said on here before its how it serves you , we find our own truth were we can and it evolves and expands all the time so its all good and leads us ever on to greater understanding , its the message not the messenger and what we intend more than what was intended:D

Wow I didn't know about the james redfield thing. I quite enjoyed that as it related a lot to stuff that was happening to me at the time (celestine prophecy). There was another similar case, forgotten the name, mother somebody or other, where they threatened to sue somebody unless they depicted her in a completely divine light. Bizarre really..
