Hi all,
Has any kind of meetup been planned for after the DI talk on Saturday?
If not, is anybody up for meeting up after the talk and going for a few drinks or something?
Would be good to chat to some like-minded people...

i think the best bet is to PM mobile numbers and so on .. as it will be a sat night and some bars might be busy so people might have to move around a bit.... there are a few pubs about... i think they have a walk about there which is quite big...

I didn't manage to get tickets and I'm pretty gutted, is there any way of tracking down people that want to sell their tickets? If I cannot get tickets, I'd still like to meet up after with everyone, just to have a chat :D

I also won't be going anywhere that wants to scan your ID, I know the Walkabout pub here do that, I'm not having ID scanned just so I can have a drink, bollox to that man!!

I am relying on public transport to and from Brixton, but I have a little time to spare as I booked the last coach back, at 11.30pm.
Please keep me updated, don't want to miss out! :p

Yeah, I have planned to meet-up with quite a few people. DJBreed from prison planet forum/youtube and a few others from the tube will be meeting me for interviews before the event.
I'll be there a couple of hours before it starts. It's gonna be a great day. Been looking forward to this all year almost!
Look forward to meeting you guys!:)

Don't want to scare you guy's,but i live about 5 miles from brixton, which has a bad reputation for crime i.e drugs, muggings, shootings and stabbings. So i would'nt hang around their at night, best bet would be up town, like victoria close to coach station and trains and nicer pubs, just some good advice for those who have not been to brixton before. Not going myself, but hope you all have a good time.:)

I'm in the same boat, LISW. But the tube train is very quick and reliable. It's a transport that those of us who are not Londoners have trouble appreciating. Last time I caught the train at the nearby Brixton station and got to Victoria Coach Station within 25 minutes.

I think we should exchange numbers via PM & arrange a to meet someplace OUT of Brixton as has been suggested (not a good place to be hanging around for sure!), Victoria would be good for those who need public transport etc.

its not the best place in London but its not as bad as it used to be... thy have cleaned it up allot... it used to be bad because you had allot of Yardies there selling crack, but they have cleared most out that,...
but that being said Victoria is not far and will have more selection...

I've never been to London.
Will someone help me - how to get to Brixton Academy from Waterloo Station?
I'll be there about 11.30 so I won't have much time for wandering- getting lost.
What bus line, tram?
How much would a cab cost me?
thank you, any help very appreciated

ps. I checked the megabus website and now the say I will land on Victoria
Coach Station [bus from Southampton]
I have Waterloo on my ticket though...

Kriss, your best bet would be the underground train to brixton,as you come out of the station turn right and walk 300yards down the high street, and brixton academy will be on the corner across the road you can't miss it.:)Your coach will probably arrive at victoria either way there are underground stations.

Thanks for reply, stealth ;]
But the London tube is something I'm the most scared of! ;]
Meanwhile I checked the google maps and photos, got some info about London buses and routes.
It doesn't look bad actually. The only trouble is time - I will land in London 1,5 h
before the "show" and have the same after - to get my last bus to Soton [megabus.com]
Maybe I will have to leave before it ends and it doesnt sound great to me...

So are we definitely going to do this?
Thirdwave: Since you seem to be familiar with the place, do you know of any good pubs in Victoria?
I'm up for either meeting at a specified location or exchanging mobile numbers, or both...
If need be, I'll give you all a description of what I look like and what I'll be wearing as well...
I'm not from London so I'd like to make a day/night out of it if possible, and what better way than meeting with some like-minded individuals to have a chat with...

Brixton's ok... we had a nice few drinks last time with Whitey, Masonfree, Frog, Shithappens, Quin, Tatiana and the rest....
Was a good night.
I'm sure you'll find a suitable harbour for the good ship Icke.
BTW does anyone have a spare ticket for sale?

I was just thinking what pub, but take into account its a Saturday so pubs will be busy so we may need to look for a place.... I think the best bet will be to kind of all head towards Victoria after and gather round the station texting and finding the best place... there are so many there... but i will put my thinking hat on... there is actually a few pubs at and around the station...

hello, I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is any parking facilities close to the academy, me and my girlfriend are driving down from liverpool tomorrow morning. The hotel we've booked is in Croydon, which is about 5 miles away i believe, so I'm not sure if it would be best to park at the hotel and then get a cab to the event or if there are parking facilities close to the academy?
anyone know which would be best?

Your best bet would be a cab,i'm pretty sure theirs not much in the way of parking around there ,lots of wardens and parking permits and you'll only get lost in london traffic.:)

D, why not go on City Link coaches? It's very cheap and all you have to do is change in Oxford. I'd meet you in Oxford, but I've got to catch somebody else.
Sorry Malvern can't make it.:( Hope he's better soon.
