I was looking at an old Business English book - of all things - (it's in 'Business Opportunites', Oxford University Press, 1994) when I spotted this on page 28:
Future Predictions, Richard Dantas, The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania:
"In the 21st century, the majority of the population will be dissatisfied with the quality and delivery of government services. Multinational corporations will assume the current role of government and help to forge a new world order. Social security, police forces, health care and education will all be provided by the private sector."
 Brazen!
