VATICAN CITY — Believing that the universe may contain alien life does not contradict a faith in God, the Vatican's chief astronomer said in an interview published Tuesday.

We are approaching the point of revelation, where the population of alien life is such that it is impractical to continue to hide the truth. The church as other religious organisations has been one of the means of control set up by our invaders. They have known from first contact that humans can be herded into obedient slaves through superstition and religion. This is just a soften up statement, to prepare the way.

I believe the vatican is part of a larger conspiracy and has been from the get go, with that being said, makes me wonder what information they know,that is not common knowledge. I believe they are paving the way for something, interesting to see how it all plays out

Well, if anyone knew about aliens, and a lot do, the Vatican would likely be the first agency to come out and say it. But all they've said is it's okay for Catholics to believe in aliens, as it doesn't negate the Faith. Which is true.
