Need advice! Turning 60 soon

Hi Forumites!! Well honestly! who would have thought, doesn't time fly by!! I'm 60 in June...duhh.........
Does that mean I have to BE AN ADULT?! you know, not flirt with men anymore, always dress appropriately, no more booze and fags and :cool: one night stands etc? (shame;) )
What does it mean? do I have to act all lah de dah and stuff, and pretend to be posh? I think I'm going to need some good advice here. I have always maintained that we are only as old as we think we are...and really I'm about 41...honest...that's how old I feel. But I am getting the odd glance or 2 from my 37yr old and 19yr old, who (I think OK? ) would like me to act my age. But what IS my age?....
Please help!! :D

i had a similar blem with my kids they are 16 and 20
they kept wanting me to be someone that i am not
so one day i started playing the roles they wanted me to play and they both freeked out ,
i ajusted my mouvements of being to there changing ideas they were formulating....
they where real glad when i stoped playing around
and very happy to find there real dad
now the house is always buzzing with kids
there mates even come around for a chat when mine aint there
they seem to be happy to have a "cart get him in a box dad"
as for the booze the cigarets and the one night stands, only you knows what is good for you, with or without kids.....

You are who you are. It is just a number and your age is just a state of mind. LOL my family say I am the oldest teenager around. My grandson sometimes asks why can't I be a 'normal' grandmother. What the hell is 'normal'?

What I would love to do is tour around Europe on the back of a Harley Davidson, with a hunk who doesn't mind doing all the 'riding'. Actually a side car would be the groove wouldn't it:)
I have always wanted to check out the Loire Valley in France and have a look around Versaille.....seems familiar to me:confused:
Anyway, one thing is true...we can still dream no matter our age eh????

Funny you should say that I rather fancy doing the Mongolian and Road of Bones part of the trip which Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman did in "Long Way Round." I dont watch tv and seldom watch movies but that dvd I haul out regularly just to watch that part of the trip. lol

Hi Notaslave, Yea! what a trip that would have been. Don't fancy the Mongolian Dog Balls for dinner:o Heh Heh and the Russian leg with all that flooding wouldn't be much fun. But I suppose if you go off looking for adventure it would be par for the course I guess.....and definitely part of the fun:confused:
You say your'e in transit?? or is that just for effect?
Have you always been a biker? I can't actually ride a bike (maybe a nifty 50 or something) but used to go a few miles as pillion. Nothing like it eh? :D If you decide to venture forth on a journey...all the best and think of us back at home still wishing:(
