Gene Simmons: Very important, though I don't think that the practice of the religion is important. In Israel, religion takes a back seat to survival. There's a real difference between Israelis and American Jews. The latter strike me as being weak and spineless; Israelis, because they have no choice, come off much closer to Puerto Ricans and the Mafia than to anybody else.
