Just been researching Helio-Hygiene AKA sunbathing….I just thought I’d sum up a few points that I have read in the link provided below…

The book below is a two part book…The first part deals with fasting and the second, sunbathing.

It goes into explaining how the ultra-violet rays of the sun are also known as chemical rays because they cause chemical reactions in both plants and animals.

The most interesting is the research done on rats who were given sunlight and rats that were just given artificial light…The differences were amazing, the rats under artificial light were plagued with diseases and problems while the sun fed rats were very healthy.

It goes nicely into how little of these ultra-violet rays we actually absorb in a normal western world. This is not so much that we are from a grey place like England but because we hide ourselves from the light, we cover it up or use windows which reflect or absorb this light. The only way to get ample amounts of this light is to sunbathe.

The main presumption of this book is not that we absorb the light and turn it into nutrients but the light acts as a catalyst to further the digestive reactions in our body. It focussed on especially the Calcium and Fat breakdown into further nutrients which it sighted a lot of evidence for…

Anyway, summer is approaching so I thought I’d let you in for an interesting read…

Sounds like it's validating Dinshah's work.

If you go to:

and scroll almost to the bottom, there's an interesting discussion re sunlight vs artificial light...with spectroscopic analysis and pictures.
