"Plans to pour tankfuls of genetically altered fish into wild lakes and rivers have
been given the go-ahead in the United Kingdom after conservation scientists
backed the project."
Yum, yum - GM trout! Be sure to serve it on toast made with GM wheat and
butter from GM cows.
What could possibly go wrong?
Story here (http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2008/04/080430-fish-release.html).

Um, are we eating GM bananas without our knowledge?
most of the bananas you buy are triploids
This GM stuff is out of control. They're genetically engineering the environment.
Didn't they watch Jurassic park? Nature finds a way.
i don't think banananas are gonna eat everyone.

The EA announced that by 2015 the estimated 750,000 farmed trout introduced each year in fishing waters must consist purely of triploids.
Naturally occurring triploid animals are very rare—triploidy in humans results in miscarriage or death soon after birth.

You obviously never heard of the study on rats that were fed GM food.
GM food eating people is not far from the truth.
OK, i'll give you a hint.....
Prime minister asks a prominent scientist to conduct a test on rats to test if GM food is good. Gives him some cash for the test.
Rats don't eat it, because they are clever.
Rats get force fed.
Alot of the rats either die or get cancer.
Scientist says 'woah, hold that food!'
Prime minister says STFU or go to jail.
Scientist loses his job.
GM food ends up in the supermarkets.
We eat GM food.
We get ill.
Monsanto and friends give each other hand shandies.
The eugenics movement marches onward.
Please! I thought the people here were at least aware of the dangers of GM food.
why is it obvious i never heard of some rats? that still doesn't mean bannanas are gonna eat everyone. personally i don't really care about GM crops, we've been eating genetically modified crops scince the dawn of agriculture. people have always bred crops together. you're a lot of diggers. smash the plowshare into swords and rid this world of the evil secular bad guys.

quote from article: "releasing the modified fish for anglers to catch is a better option than traditional trout farming and may even benefit native trout populations. That's because the fish have been engineered to be sterile, so they won't breed with vulnerable wild strains."
Oh! Well that's alright then! How do they know? This is what gets me about these so-called scientists. They've been so wrong before and they think they're infallible. They think they're God! Who knows whether these trout genes won't mutate? Whether there will be one rogue trout who isn't infertile? It will only take one and the whole crazy experiment is irreversible.
Sorry, this story has made me really cross!

That genetically modified crap is everywhere. I have been growing my own organic foods for some time now and suggest everyone learn how to garden for themselves. Do we really need grocery stores and fast food restaurants for our food?
