Just been offered a place at university there for september. It would be good to get to know people now, since when i get there if i decided its the one for me im gonna be on my lonesome, we could meet up for a few pints or something talk about stuff.
Also another reason why i came on here. Is because which is really frustrating, before students go into halls they have to sign a declaration not to bring a car to university, is it just me or is that ridicilouse, dont even have the freedom of choice use a car? And i agree oxford bus services are suppose to be good. But on the other side of it mean i got a 60 mile journey on a bus, every weekend to then pick up my car to help my disabled sister get around on the weekends whilst paying off my insurance monthly, This has really got to me gaaa.
Anyone know any place to park?

Which College will you be attending? What are you reading?
I am at the EGI a fair bit & can help you out (although that would be a bit odd) if you are studying within the Department of Zoology.
You will be meeting new people from the moment you arrive, almost all of them will be a newbie. You're all in the same boat.
The parking is shite in Oxford. Find a supermarket to leave your car parked in, or a Pub car park.
Moreover, you'll get caned at Oxford during every semester, no time for driving about..

Congratulations. I studied Philosophy and Theology to (not at Oxford though). Im sure you'll have a great time, just keep your individuality will you? ;)
EDIT: By the way I don't know if that "gagaga" bit meant that the following was a joke or the previous. In any case, good luck.

I suppose my atttude is just that university is generaly... bullshit, to quote Penn and Teller. Have you considered that you could do far\more with yourself outside the confines of university?
