Hello! I am very likely to catch colds and flu's at least 3 times a year. I always use paracetamol and things like Beecham's or Lemsip... but it takes me from 2 to 3 weeks to be completely cured!!! and I hate it because it makes me feel dumber!? I also have the usual remedies: echinacea herbal teas, eucaliptus vapours, Vick's Vapour Rub on the chest, honey and lemon in hot water and salty gargles... Can anyone suggest something EFFECTIVE and HEALTHY? Thanks... :o

As soon as you get an inkling of a cold coming on:
That night, peel a clove of garlic, thread it and tie it around your neck so it's close to your throat but not uncomfortably tight.
In the morning, throw it away - it contains the "cold."

For me this is 100% effective if I do it on the first night.
On the second, it's less than 30% effective, down to 0% on the third.

Boost your immune system by eating healthy, and avoid in general mucus forming foods like rice, dairy products, soy, and gluten containing products. Symptoms should be less severe as a result.
