I don't really know if they are truly a part of a so called evil brotherhood, but that they keep their knowledge a secret I can somehow understand. Knowledge that would be ridiculed is better off secret and only to the one who seeks it. The masses ridicule everything exept their radical thinking and world of matter.

Should you care? Well, you post it here, so I think you do, but you don't have to. Your choice is good for you, because it's your path. It's all about experience, negative and positive, both of them we have to experience.

It wouldn't matter to me. I don't see the freemasons as an organization to be the problem but more the certain psychological deviants that may dwell within its hierarchy.

That's actually true. We date our origins from the English stonemasons guild of the middle ages. The "Free Masons" were those who were not serfs, and were therefore free to travel and establish new Lodges. It is also the origin of the requirement that candidates for Masonry be free born.
