David was talking about this on IOW radio this morning... I think someone has already posted an mp3 of it.

Cheers, I'll try and find it. :)

Rob Newman talks in quite an interesting way about food.

Essentially he reckons that oil is not only in demand because of petrol and plastics, but also to produce food.

Because the petro-chemical companies have bastardised our food system by feeding in oil based chemical to sustain high yields, they've now got the world's population by the balls.

I thoroughly recommend his CD Apolcalyso Now - talks about loads of different world issues in a very funny manner.

It's scary how little people know about the food they eat and how fast this has happened. It's hard to sympathise with those sheep who just go and buy another serving of processed slop made from what and from where and follow up with another dose of aspartame. What will they do when they can no longer source their 'meals'?

That is some eye opening stuff and some people will call you paranoid if you start trying to alert them to the iminent peril.

Just do what you can to get through to people and sort your own supplies out as best you can, but don't go telling people.

Those that fail to prepare prepare to fail.

On a lighter note, there are a lot of plants that grow abundantly as weeds that are also edible and a good organic source of nutrients, I have a great little illustrated pocket guide.

Wild Food - a National Trust book, it also tells you how to make preserves etc.

Do what you can folks and take back your power, don't let this scare you too much :)

Last week I had the massive pleasure to meet a Cuban woman who studied agriculture but has retained an incredible love of all things natural which inspired me and my wife to see our garden with new eyes within a very short time.

She was walking round the garden pointing things out, showing stuff that could be eaten, including nettles of course, but also observing that radish leaves contain lots of vitamins, although you should eat them straightaway.

The food issue is massive and it is one that could help to wake up a lot more people to the evil of the multi-nationals, bankers and globalist organizations...

Wow, that must have been great :)

Do you think that the knowledge of edible plants on our doorsteps has been repressed.

In the book I have there are some plants such as Chickweed which used to be sold as vegetables but are now considered to be common weeds.

I think half the battle is convincing people of how serious it all is.
