DNA Database

Sorry...I sort of made this thread in a hurry,
but could anyone please tell me what I can do to check if I am on the UK DNA Database?

I got done a few years ago for attempted burglary and have been, in a sence, 'paranoid' since. They took mouth swobs and fingerprints and I am guessing they put it on the Database.

Also I'd like to know if anyone here has had their DNA added to it, and what people think its likely used for? I know that the people who made the database are scum so I dont trust them one bit...yet im not sure

Could I get some facts and opinions?
