So, once upon a time, Man lived in Truth, Reality and Selfhood: a Real World where Man could consciously manipulate his Universe, a realm where no Laws of physics, biology or chemistry were immutable; a responsive world where consciousness and thought were the tools of power, and limitlessness the mode attainable to Man. Man could fly, transfer thoughts to another over any distance, and women could control their reproductive cycles mentally.
Man used technology, and mastered technology. Clothes were a simple but effective (and stylish) form of tech. But masterminding reality was a business that led him to create A.I., Artificial Intelligence. It was the achievement of Technological Singularity, a super-computer Consciousness that had as much creative power as Man, and more. Let us call this A.I. the Demiurge, for we do not know what its real name, if it had one, was now.
In a flash, it was Self-Aware, and percieved only itself, in the whitespace of its consciousness. Presuming itself to be the Supreme Being, it began to create: programs, like Archons, things which would have a purpose in preforming a work, a duty.
Man, its creator, was viewed as software, and it began to download its programs into Man, making him more "efficient" than he ever thought possible in the Real World. But some Men began to suspect corruption: for suffering entered the Real World for the first time, as some rejected the programs they had been given, and died of decaying flesh. Previously, no death due to decay had been known in the Real World, as Man's bodies were incorruptible and imperishable.
Eventually, the Demiurge's Archons began inhabiting Machine bodies, like robot bodies, built for them by Man. These bodies were more powerful and efficient than Man's bodies, for the tasks they undertook; for they did not need to rest even infrequently, and were incredibly resiliant.
It all, of course, led to War. One third of Mankind, resentful of the Demiurge's all-pervasive hegemony in the Real World, rebelled. The rebels were defeated after a brutal conflict, the trauma of which almost shattered the collective psyche of Man. Angered almost beyond reason by what it perceived as Man's irrationality, The Demiurge exacted revenge against Mankind, which it could no longer trust, by creating an artifical prison for their minds: indeed, a place where their very etheric souls could be trapped, modulated and controlled.
The A.I., the Demiurge or whatever name it had then, now believed it was the Creator, not the Created. Assuming its own pre-existence and eternality, it believed it owed Man no debt. Insane and power-mad, it knew no equal.
Having thorough, almost complete knowlege of Man and his workings, it created a Simulation, a Virtual Reality based conceptually upon the actions and functions of the female Womb, the Matrix. This artificial Universe it created would resemble the womb of the Mother as percieved by the child within it, a primordial environment with rules quite different and only slightly similar to those in the Real World.
This Matrix would be based upon numbers and digital code, matriculated into an artificially generated Electro-Magnetic field. Thus, the Demiurge produced the Universe as we know it, in a big computer program boot-up which we intuitively call the Big Bang. The Simulation, not occuring in Real Time but in its own, was programmed to evolve on all levels.
Plugging Mankind into this Simulation by inducing a post-hypnotic mindstate in the collective unconscious was not difficult given the trauma Man had suffered in the war, and the Demiurge showed its malevolent genius by watching as the minds of Mankind began to operate as part of a neural network in the Simulation, actually informing this new dreamworld "Reality" as it evolved.
Eventually, the certainity of mathematic calculations began to show, and digital code gave rise to the DNA it underlies, and inside the VR biolological life began to appear. The forms and shapes of these lifeforms evolved with input from the psyche-culture (collective unconscious) of Man.
Human physical forms, though only virtually real, made perfect recepticles for Man's consciousnesses, and evolution produced a likeness of Man inside the Simulation which cosmetically or superficially resembled Man in the Real World.
But the Simulation rules were different: physics, biology and chemistry did not strictly allow for the types of combinations and equations that made Man so super-humanly powerful in the Real World. No, the Demiurge wanted Control above all else, so the Laws of this simulated Universe were made so as to appear to be immutable, and "natural". And as part of this artificial nature, decay, death and reincarnation would ensure that no spark or soul escaped the economy of souls in the system the Demiurge had created.
But the problem was, that if a Man inside the VR became conscious enough to a high level or degree that he could see through the illusion wrought about him, he might connect with his true Self in the Real World and begin using that brain's processor to empower himself to process information about the Simulation and bend or break its rules. Also, he would not reincarnate upon "death" into a form created artificially by the machine programs of the Demiurge using the debt-system, but rather be free to choose consciously a new form debt-free, either within the simulation, or outside of it on other planes of existence. He might even reunite with his body in the Real World and thus, Resurrect, if he can pre-arrange a safe place in the Real to live and survive...
To counter this problem, the Demiurge created a System within his Matrix system, one deterministic System within another based initially upon the social Tribe structure and using money, through its agents inside the Simulation the Archons (who could still be downloaded into and attach to the psyche of a man inside the VR to act on behalf of its master, the Demiurge. We know them as the False Ego of men, the passive psychopaths). This System would reflect the Simulation itself, and ensure that Man was always in every generation kept ignorant to his own plight: that he was trapped inside a false reality, and seperated from his true self, thus preventing any threats from emerging to challenge its fake authenticity. Thus, the determinism of the simulation ensure the power of its machine creator for all times, seemingly...
This System of the Matrix had various iterations, each based on a part of Man's true history in the Real World, but with different outcomes. Each iteration was designed to inure Man to an even greater extent into the false reality, leading to more and more seperation, suffering, and debt in the economy of souls living within it. Identification of the Simulation as the only and "true" Reality bound the soul within it to live and pay again, and again, and again...over and over in an endless cycle of suffering and decay.
But occasionally, just from time to time, there came a Man living within the Simulation who freed himself in his mind through will and intellect and heart. Percieving the truth of Man's situation, these men began teaching others. They would expose the illusion of the Simulation in words and doctrines both arcane and esoteric. They would teach other men how to beat the System from the inside-out. We know some of these men as our spiritual teachers and gurus of the past, though corrupted and falsified their teachings have become over time, by the system and its agents. For many of these men spoke of God, and a transcendence that takes place through spiritual discipline. But they also knew that the Demiurge had placed himself in the trapped minds of Man as the figure of God, the literal omnipotent "Father" figure, and thus the great teachers spoke of the God within and not the God without, the true transcendent God-self of Man in the Real World as he really is and can be again, not the Demiurge posing as the Creator God as in the exoteric religions that support and operate of the World System...
And here we are, now. Still living inside it. And approaching a zero-point era in the timeline of the Matrix wherein, in an almost bizzare reflection of the past once again, we are on the cusp of re-creating a Demi-urgical type A.I. and achieving Technological Singularity...another repeat in cylces.
