Anyone notice the symbolism in the movie? you do get to see the all seeing eye within the triangle, checkered floors and many more occult symbols.

I wont spoil it but i think you should check out the film. Its excellent

it was shit.

How this is rated as a top horror is beyond me.

Yeah it was full of occult, symbolism no doubt I reckon he's into the Illuminate thing big time. What with his movies always stabbing,hanging women in his movies yet very rarely men he strikes me as the type.

Plus his movies are shit yet he gets high praise by all the movie reviewers.

I liked it. I used to watch lots of horror. Few horror movies are scary. This is one of them. Great soundtrack too.

Oustanding flick. I first saw it in '80 at the Great Lakes navy base theater when I was stoned out of my gourd. I now have it in DVD. Oh, the memories...

It's on now on Film4 in the UK, this film gives me the fucking creeps. Loaded with symbology.

The acting is totally shit, but that's part of the charm.

Love it....one of my favorite films. Everything about it is too cool, sets(where did he find some of these places??), lighting,colors, shots, originality.....blah blah blah....I could go on but it's been said a jillion times by much better writers than me...... and not to mention one of the most awesome and scary soundtracks ever! I actually preferred the mix on my old vhs better than the dvd(the 1st one I ever bought btw) the vhs version was more blended and hallucinatory whereas the dvd mix was too crisp and seperated. I can understand why some people think it's shit.....if you don't get and appreciate Italian horror( yeah that includes the dubious acting and dialogue and dubbing)....which too me ADDS to the overall effect. Since discovering Suspiria I have seen just about every italian horror and giallo that is out there and enjoyed the heck out of all but 2 or 3( and Joe D'amato has put out some REAL CRAP!) Bava's Black Sunday ranks right up there as well...... with Fulci's The Beyond not far behind. Ok, now that I have done my part to save the world with this life changing info.............
