I don't think theres anyway to know for sure. It's definitely in his charactor to go out like this, but the timing and some other factors are questionable. I saw something on the Alex Jones site about how some friend of Hunter said he talked to him before he died and Hunter told him that he was going to be assassinated, but you really can't trust that information.
A while later they had an interview with another guy who claimed Hunter went to Bohemian Grove and molested children, I've looked at his evidence, it's sketchy at best.
I have however seen evidence that Hunter was working on exposing the child sex ring and may have been coming close to going public around the time of his death, but I don't have anything solid.

Suffice to say, it's pretty obvious Hunter was on our side, and we could of really used him now. But as I said before, unless someone does some serious investigation there is really no way to know. I wouldn't be suprised at all if it really was suicide, if you knew Hunter you could tell it was a matter of when not if.

but i like longshots, and if i was a betting man, I'd put my money on the gannon connection. this ties into the sex rings that have been a part of the beltway scene for years.

i think gonzo mentioned that. standard operating procedure; they tried to make Scott Ridder out to be a pedophile when he kept insisting there were no wmd's in iraq.

it's always convenient to pin one's own crimes on someone else. Plenty of evidence, it just needs to be doctored.

that doesn't sound like thompson's style. granted, he was one of the heroes of my early 20's, but god knows we all have feet of clay.

forgive me, i wasn't clear. i meant that i didn't think pedophilia was thompson's thing. he lived life on the edge for fortysomething years. suicide seemed always to be lurking somewhere in the shadows. so this is a very real possibility in his case.

i really believe that pedophilia is the achilles heel of the friendly folks at bohemian grove. it is the one crime that has the potential to galvanize the masses. maybe it won't. apathy seems to rule the day, at least here in the states. i guaran-fuckin-tee you they will defend their secrets here to the death, and even though hunter had a high profile, not even he would be immune to a violent end.

i'm surprised jeff gannon/guckert is still alive, quite frankly.
